So because he's good it's ok? If an inferior player tried it then no? RAWK response.

To be fair people never look at their own players in the same way as others do.

A lot of fans of other clubs despise Busquets and think he is a racist cheat who feigns injury etc.

You wont get many Barca fans that look at him that way.

It's funny because a harmless bite receives so much more criticism and attention than a deliberate career ending tackles. So many tackles are indeed deliberate but it's so easy to disguise them.

Luis Suarez: "These things happen inside the penalty area. We were chest against shoulder. I also immediately suffered a blow to the eye."

So he says he got an eye in the teeth too! :VdB:

Its because its so primitive and animal like behaviour, which makes it more frowned upon than a common tackle.
Still would rather have a bite than a Ramos career ending kick to the knee like Messi received in 2010.

Exactly. Pepe in particular consistently tries to seriously hurt other players in the most disgusting and vicious ways, week in week out. There's never a substantial fuss about it. Suarez DOES deserve to be banned; and Pepe deserves a life ban.

How can you even compare tackles and biting? Tackles are part of the game, it's a part of how you play. It's necessary and usual. A tackle is not an act of violence. Admittedly, a wrongly timed tackle can cause much more damage, but it's rarely deliberate. Taylor's tackle on Eduardo was horrific and could have ended his career, but it was badly timed and a mistake. Some tackles are deliberate and those which are should be punished more severely than biting, for sure. But most injuries from tackles aren't deliberate. These things happen in sport. Biting doesn't. Biting someone is not a mistake. It's a deliberate act of violence which has absolutely nothing to do with sport. This is not your street team we're talking about, these guys represent their countries on the world stage, they play for renowned clubs and they get paid huge money to do so. They have sponsorship deals that are worth tens of millions. They are culturally significant because millions of kids all around the world follow their every move. All of that combined is a huge responsibility. You can't do something as retarded as biting someone in a WC game and expect to continue doing your job. Let alone do it three times. Many of you are underestimating the influence of football on things outside of football. This is intolerable.

Of course there is. Every time you see many people asking why rfef let him keep doing this.

I think they did say tackles that were designed to hurt an opponent and that could be potentially career ending.

Suarez deserves a ban, but a life ban from football???

Way over the top.
