Would be a really bad move for barça, yes we could use a CF but not someone like him. He would be a terrible fit and he's to expensive with all the risks he brings.

Talent alone he is a great fit. The problem is his temper and behaviour. It'd make the season "interesting", though. Madrid media will be on him any chance he gives.

Even without a reason they'll be all over him  Look at what they write about Messi, of all players..

Suarez on his twitter, thanking the fans for all the support:

Hola a todos, escribo este mensaje para dar las gracias a todas las muestras de apoyo y cariño que estoy recibiendo. Tanto yo como mi familia se lo agradecemos mucho. Muchas gracias por estar a mi lado y quiero que todos hoy apoyemos a mis compañeros de selección para el partido contra Colombia.

I wonder when the apology will come, he's probably preparing a statement together with the lawyers of Barca.

He said that he lost balance and fell in to Chiellinis shoulddr and bruised his tooth. He denies that he bit him!

Wont be suprised if they increase his ban.

Probably the work of his lawyer.

Didn't he made the statement before FIFA made their decision?

RE: video evidence

I thought Suarez' advocates were arguing how his character was misunderstood, and that he only really likes to take a harmless bite or two, which deserves less sanctioning than kicking an opponent when down, going for the ankle, pulling the opp. hair, punching, stamping, headbutting, and other forms of violent conduct. Turns out Luis Suarez is Pepe's long lost brother.

Indeed, that's Suarez' statement before the FIFA-decision, he and the Uruguayan NT were trying to limit the damage there (didn't really work ;))

In the coming days, we'll hear a real apology from him (at least I'd hope so)

Suarez shoudn't apologize for anything at this point. He is the victim of this whole episode. Biting is wrong, but the penalty was just out of proportions. You'd think throwing a player in his prime out of the world cup would be enough, but no. Not when the press wants more! Alex song punchs a guy and gets a 3 game ban, Suarez bites and gets a 4 month ban.. Even if it's his third time this punishment is stil way out of proportions. I've lost all respect to FIFA. Suarez will eventually after emotions heal apologize in private to Chiellini if he hasen't already. But he should never apologize publically and give satisfaction to the same press that forced FIFA to discriminate between punishments for Suarez and punishments for everyone else.

He is no victim. He put himself in this position. The punishment being out of proportion is something else, but he is no victim. He should apologize.

He didn't put himself in this position. He put himself in the position of getting a red card and possibly banned from playing further in this world cup. That's it. It's not his fault that FIFA gave the press so much influence and gave such an absurd punishment. That one is not on him. The punishment being out of proportion is NOT something else, it is the most important part of this story. It's because of how unjust the punishment is that Suarez is a victim too. He should never apologize in public before FIFA apologizes to him for discriminating against him.

Regardless of whether ban was over the top - which I agree it was - he should apologise for the bite.

It is two different issues.

He is not being asked to apolgise to FIFA but to everyone else who thinks what he has done is wrong.
