Man, you cant claim that Lucho thinks all our midfielders are his "favorites" so no midfielder will join us, just because Lucho doesnt go public and criticize his own players. Players will be moved out constantly as time passes, it has nothing to do with them being his "favorites".

Transfer gossip is transfer gossip. You have not proven at all that these clubs are really that desperate to get him. A player being linked to a club in the tabloids is not something you should take as a fact that that club is desperate to get that player. You didnt even seem to know that Fabinho plays as a midfielder now. How do you even know what Fabinho wants?

He's very good going forward, great at beating his man and has an eye for the goal. If we sign him, he would be signed as a midfielder who can cover as RB backup. We dont need a player who'll rot on the bench for 85% of the time and be severely lacking in match fitness when needed.

I'm pretty sure it will be very very few games

His versatility would have been useful if we didn't have so many midfielders already

I agree - versatility is generally good, but he won't get many games in this midfield.
Anyway, if we buy a new rightback I'm sure that the rotation-monster will keep him in matchform.

I would say Roberto is better in midfield than all of Denis, Arda, Rafinha, and even Gomes, and Iniesta is old and injured, not to mention Busquets doesn't have any subs when he desperately needs rest.

Because Fabinho is better than most of those guys and Iniesta is getting old. Besides, he also provides desperately needed competition for Busquets. Fabinho would be a great addition to our squad.

And we don't need an extra body in midfield

We actually have too many midfielders
Too many that it's hard for any of them to catch match rhythm due to constant rotations. Even starting midfielders have trouble finding rhythm

We don't need an extra man there

Now a RB who can play RW would be a better option IMO, because late in games we would move Messi centrally to create and somebody may need to occupy the RW


A RB in the style of Mariano, Cancello, or pre-crappy Vidal would be welcome

Not a DM to add more problems to our already overcrowded midfield
