Yes Busquets give the ball to better players as quickly as possible and it works for Barca. But this guy is so much better than him.

His overall game wasn't, not for us
busquet is the best water carrier in the world. Thats not an insult as his team mates love him. He does a vital job in freeing the more creative players and do their dirty job. But as an overall player yaya is superior. But its not about the individual but the system and he’s perfect for you

Yaya is good at DM and AM without being a specialist in either position. Yaya plays both roles well but neither perfectly. Busquets is a proper DM specialist who isn't as good as Yaya offensively. That doesn't make him a "water carrier". It just makes him what he is: a proper DM.

Yaya is a beast enuf said. He can defend, play at the back, play in midfield and attack. Biscuits ??. Technically he is good, good positioning, thats it.

He had 6 goals in 118 appearances for Barcelona. I think his attacking contribution is negligible. And when he played in the back 4, we were accused of giving away 20 penalties at Stamford Bridge. He has become a bit overrated since he moved to the Premier League. Guardiola is not an idiot. If he prefers 20 year old Busquets over Yaya at his peak then we can pretty much close the case. Busquets shits on Yaya from a greaaaaat height. No disrespect to Yaya though. I'd love to have him as a bench player for the odd 1, 2 or 3 out of 60 games a season where we need more physical presence in the middle of the park.

Pep Guardiola is not an Idiot but that does not mean he is never wrong.

Yaya's attacking contribution negligible? Get away. Goals aren't everything. He carries the ball forward so well and initiates counter attacks after winning the ball back.

And you bring up when he played in the back 4 as a measure stick and almost try blame him for the '20 penalties at Stamford Bridge'. Tell me what did you think of Yaya at center back in the Champions League final 2009?

and Overrated since he moved to the Premier League? He's been an absolute leader and he was crucial in Man City winning the title and the FA Cup the season before.

and honestly, you really do sound like Dalitis.

Why are you throwing random YouTube videos at my face? Are those 1 minute highlights out of the 9000 minutes he has played for Barcelona supposed to convince me that he's a better player than Busquets? What are you? One of those YouTube scouts? I know who Yaya is and what he's capable of, I haven't missed a single Barcelona game in the whole Guardiola era. He's a beast but he's no Busquets. Which is the reason why he had to go to make room for Busquets. Deal with it.

In the CL final he made a clumsy tackle which resulted in a highly dangerous freekick situation. Other than that he didn't have much to do defensively since Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta were bossing the middle throughout the game.

He's won the FA Cup and Premier League title? Cute argument. Busquets' dick is still larger, having won 2 Champions Leagues, a EC and a WC as the undisputed starter in midfield for the best international and club side of all time at age 24 where the likes of Fabregas, who was touted as a 60 million pound players in the Premier League, can't get into the starting XI.

comparing yaya and busi is like apple and orange..
but you have to admit, Busi suits much better in the curent system..
providing good balance to both midfield fluidity and defence.

Yaya is a beast..no doubt.. as a DM he can drive the ball forward on his own ,
Busquet cant provide that, but if you want possesion and tiki taka , Busquet is a much better choice.

You are mixing being better with suiting the formation better. barca has the likes of xavi, iniesta and messi....they dont need creativity from busquets. Put it this way if you were managing Valencia and wanted to improve your team and both yaya and busquets were available........who would you go for? For me its no brainer who the overall superior footballer is and who can add more to a team. Yaya isnt a simple defensive midfielder who just breaks and [pass to nearest player.....he has far more to his game.

As an Arsenal fan, I'm fine with it. M'Vila and maybe Toulalán (better than Sahin will ever be, and Malaga has to get rid of him ASAP) and we're all set.

As if you could afford Toulalán's £170,000 week.

Edit: In my opinion, Yaya is better overall and is twice as good for City as he was for Barca. However, Busi is without a doubt a better DM. You could also see Yaya's frustration playing as
a DM. He doesn't enjoy playing that position, and once a player doesn't enjoy himself, you can't get most out of him.

Toulalan isn't worth 170k per week and we don't need him. We'll get Sahin on loan and give Coquelin more games.
