What the fuck is the Barca system? He is our 2nd best goalscorer after Messi leaving behind both Neymar and Pedro. Your argument doesn't make sense.

And 3rd in assists, 12 in all competitions only behind Cesc and Messi and he is only 25 yrs old.

Actually I am talking about his general positioning and time on the ball, the way he play for Chile he is in Messi like form but for us when he sees the goal he either tries to pass to Messi or takes one touch extra and loses the chance he would thrive more in a sort of direct counterattacking team than he is at Barca. I never said he didn't step it up this season but he struggles with attacking and tries to be too fancy in key areas at key moments like the penalty he got against Betis I don't even know he knew what he was doing

Almost everyone here doesn't know few things. 1. Alexis used to play CF/ST for Udinese and then Pep moved him for the first time on the wing. 2. He plays ST for Chile. Of course he is better at Chile, there he has the freedom, he plays on his best position etc. Even Neymar doesn't have that freedom he likes at Barcelona but you want Alexis to have it. DO you guys ever think that maybe is good what Alexis is doing now? His defensive work rate is insane, did you see what happened in the Clasico with Neymar at RW? Alves was a little amateur in fornt of Ronaldo Di Maria and Marcelo. Oh my fucking god... barca fans are never satisfied.

Alexis' only problem that annoys me is he pass the ball too often to Messi, but this happens with all Barça players. There are so many moments when Pedro, Alexis, Neymar, Cesc are in better positions, but Alves and Alba, or anyone, pass the ball to Messi, even if he is with 2-3 players around him.

When will you all understand that he is the best RW player we can have? Only Bale and Robben are better than him. Reus is SHIT at RW, Hazard only plays LW and CAM, he rarely plays RW and he is weak in defense.

Thats what I am saying the guys needs freedom to play like the Jugadorazo but with Messi he looks shy and timid and afraid to make a mistake and by all means his defensive contribution is fantastic but playing him on the wing sacrifices the poacher and constant goal scoring threat he is for Chile. Maybe we can play a formation so that he play in front of Messi in his favored position and Messi can play like he does for Argentina in his favored hybrid 9/10 role behind the striker

This is exactly why he should be given more freedom as I said he looks timid and lost in front of goal for Barca and looks like Ronaldo Koeman for Chile so that was what I meant with him being hindered by our system

Alexis: "To help my mom, I earned a few bucks cleaning cars. And in November I also went to clean graves at the graveyard." [hbo]
Alexis: "We lived in a modest house. When leaving, I always checked if there was no one outside. I didn't want people to know I lived there"
Alexis: "I wanted to become a pro to help my mom. I didn't like she worked as cleaning-lady. When she worked at my school, I always hid."

I've got massive respect for him in this regard !:alexis::cry:

He got so far starting from such impossible conditions

For me its because I love the player that I want him to leave he doesn't suit the Barca system and that is hindering him

+1
Love Barca more than the player but I agree he isn't for Barca's style / system at all imo.

Agree but since he couldn't play asa CF or ST at Barca (and with all the freedom he desperately needs to be at his best) I don't think someone will put him there now in our system so he'll be stuck forever in the right since Neymar is clearly the best LW Barca has today.

Alexis is totally not the same in RW as in his native position.

alexis will be here for many years.
i m saying this from last season when everybody laughed at him having like 5(?) goals till february
imagine now having 19 goals and 14 assists in 32 games(=2900' /90').

From the last few matches, it seems like he's back to his old level. I really hope he regains his confidence. I absolutely hate when he dribbles too much and can't make up his mind!

he will never be at his best on the wings, though he offers us a lot there, but because i am such a big fan of him, i would want him to leave so he can play in his best position

He comes across as amateurish at times when he is indecisive, but he has really toughened up his game this season and made his mark, as seemingly impossible as it's been with so many people hounding on him and expecting him to be something he is not naturally. I commend his efforts. This half of the season he has been better than Cesc Fabregas that's for sure. The thing I really appreciate is that no one expects more from Alexis' improvements more than Alexis himself.

@PepeSilvia, he makes a lot of mistakes out of pure joy for football. Sometimes, he's too anxious, too pumped up. So pumped up, that his legs feel stiff at times.

Made me laugh, really. He's a feckin pro! Football is a joy for every player, but does everyone make mistakes because of that? Alexis isn't one of a kind. He's just clumsy.
