Ángel Di María

Well even if we paid 200K to all 25 players in our squad we will still have a relatively healthy wage to turnover ratio of around 55%-70% depending CL football...

Apparently his wages won't be far off Rooney's ridiculous salary.

No wonder he left. I think I saw his wages were around 10mil a season.

Who besides Messi and CR7 get paid that much in La Liga?!

I said this earlier about him, he got an offer he couldn't refuse. I don't think Real Madrid are kicking him out.

That thug Mendes on the other hand definitely has a hand in all of this being James and Angel's agent.

Ok so I did some research, don't know if this is the exact estimate but he'll be on 180,000 pounds a week. Xavi and Iniesta are on 130,000 pounds a week.

Man United are beyond desperate to be paying this. I think Angel is a great player and behind last year's success for them but the guy was inconsistent as hell. Who is to say he won't revert back to his old playing style?!

70 mill + 15 variables? Great deal, no matter if he was very good last season, United must be desperate. I cant say i understand Di Maria though, United might come good again, they might not. But right now, United is far from a top club, and the weather is bad. Apart from the wage, i cant see how anyone would pick United over a real.

Because he wants to get out of there as fast as possible.Probably because he doesn´t feel valued enough.
It´s great RM is losing one of their best Players from last season who fit their System brilliantly.

Yeah its bad we lose him, and i wish to keep him. But that deal is epic, i would never dream of getting that much for him. I hope he can cope with playing with Cleverley, Fletcher and Young.....

Money. Money. And more Money.

I hate to sound like I'm slighting a group but a lot of South American players will go to where the money is no matter what. There are so many Brazilian players who play in those shitty Eastern European leagues because they're getting paid a lot more than in a country where they could actually develop there game.

United are paying him double than what he made at RM and more than the 8mil he demanded apparently. RM may be the better club but he needs to do whats best for his family. I remember reading Ole (Argentinean site) and he gave an interview where he said he grew up poor. I'm sure he is doing everything he can to make sure his family is set for life.

A spot in the starting XI?

United don't play in the Champions League and with the current level of their competitors there's a big question mark behind whether they will even reach the CL spots this season, plus he has to adapt to a new culture and environment and learn a new language. I really, really don't see why he would switch clubs.

One thing is for sure though, he will be valued and loved. The fans will sing his name week in week out and he will be appreciated like he won't be by the fans and board at real. I would be so pissed of if i put 120% effort in every week to the point where i nearly fainted and play a vital part in your clubs most successful season in years and then get put to the side and replaced by somebody no where near as good at this moment in time, must be pretty shit. Also there is the money side of things :lol:

How do you even know this? Do you know why Real Madrid supporters sometimes didn't like Di Maria. Because he sometimes he was so shitty and the next game was brilliant. Like an love-hate relationship. Last season was the first season he acctually had an great overall season.

And Di Maria didn't get pushed aside. Real Madrid offered him a contract exentsion before James was even in the picture (before the world cup). But Di Maria rejected the offer. He wanted to earn more but Real Madrid wouldn't give it to him. He didn't feel enough apprication and that's why he wanted to leave. After that Real Madrid bought James as his replacement. And now you could say just give him the money because had a great season. But I think he wanted like 8m netto, from 3,5 to 8. That's just insane and if Real Madrid would give him that it could be bad for the team it self (balance). Lets not forget, this was the first season that Di Maria was acctually great throughout the entire season.
