I think its typical mundo bs anyway. They reported 300k net per month? That would be insane and i don't know where that money should come from. And if we talk 16M gross it's not spectacular, could probably earn more at Barca anyway.
If anything he renews because he really wants to stay at Atletico for the rest of his top level career because no club would ever pay a 300M clause. That's a commitment that goes way beyond a great salary.

I think those extra 20 million are some kind of legal tax evasion (making it a transfer, not a buyout). If it was a buyout, we would need to pay something similar to the goverment, I think. That's why P$G offered us more money last year 230+ million, but we told them to fuck off.
Atleti would need to pay Sociedad anyway, I think.

that's the problem with some news aggregator twitter accounts, they either don't read the article well enough that it's likely sourced from a different website than MD themselves.
