Given the statements and information that have emerged in the last few days about the future of our player Antoine Griezmann, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, CEO of Atlético de Madrid, has demanded respect for our club: "We are fed up with the attitude of Barcelona. That a president, a player and a manager of the same club talk about the way they do the future of a player with a contract in force and a few days of playing a final of European competition seems to me an absolute lack of respect for Atlético of Madrid and towards all its fans " .

"The position of Atlético de Madrid in this regard is very clear and has been made public on numerous occasions. At no time have we negotiated for Griezmann and we have no intention of doing so. Personally, I told the president of Barcelona a few months ago that the player's rights are neither for sale nor will we sell them. I also made him see that his inappropriate behavior was contrary to the integrity of the competition, since during the season we have been competing for the league title and Barcelona has been permanently pressuring one of the most relevant players of our team. I also told him at the time that in the event that the player exercises his right of rescission as a result of the pressure exerted during this entire season,.

WTF is this dude talking about? He has a release clause and everything ends there. We had the same story with Neymar and we now have the same problem with Umtiti so he can f... off with “they are pressuring Griezmann” shit. Last year he renovated under this condition and they were perfectly aware this will happen othervise he would have left last season already.

Fuck Atletico. They did the same with many players from other teams. Vitolo, last summer was way worse.

Deal with it, Pathetico.

They do, but I don't want us to be classless.

That said, the statement is fun.

A dangerous issue. Messi loves him. Neymar choose to leave but if the board sell Suarez...hum...very tricky.

Ii would only sell him to buy Icardi which costs 110M. Suarez is 31 and Icardi 25.

Still a pretty tricky subject in my opinion.

Don't know the rule exactly, but I think this would only make direct contact legal by FIFA rules if it happened during the transfer window, but not before it.

Except he has a buyout clause so he's essentially free to talk with anyone.

That only apllies when the contract is ending. This is not that kind of situation.
Atletico are just butthurt. Like we were over Moneymar. haha

What lack of respect? A player's release clause is literally the price of the player. If someone wants to pay it what's so disrespectful about it?

Atletico should know better than that, they were the ones who put that price on his head.

Deal with it.

if real inquired, atletico would offer griezmann to them for 50 m.

such is the tenacity of atletico v barca compared to their crosstown "rivals". and why they exited to real 4 times in 4 years in CL.

Why are we getting another SMALL forward?
When will we ever learn?

The midfield is the trouble spot. We need to sped 100 million there.

Barto has become the new Perez. Stacking us with forwards. No balance in this squad.

So 350 million spent and we will exit cl again in round of 16 or qf next season.

Should have spent on Monchi, scouting and a decent manager.

I'm not against the signing itself, he'll definitely improve us, but won't bring many new things.

We could've spent the money better.
