Antoine Griezmann

Don't think it's a good deal to trade him for Saul though. I'll rather sell him to City for 60m if possible and Tottenham cockblock their Kane moves.

Yeah, sure a straight sale is better, but is it on the table?
I doubt we are preferring Saul over straight out selling Griezmann.
I said it all along in last 18 months, I think AM is the most logical place for Griezmann tbh. They need him and they have a history of getting players back.

Saul has actually regressed a lot, he's nowhere near as good as before. He wouldn't even have a spot in the team. Pretty useless. Doubt they'd consider it, but I'd take Llorente.

Do you think Pep's interest's real?

Exactly. Saul would be just another average player. I'd rather go for Goretzka or Kessie. Our Rijkaard teams always had a physical midfielder.
Sell Griezmann for 50 million. Guy is a fucking clown.

If we need to lose Griezmann wage then there may be no other way.

I'm guessing it would be a loan swap with buy options in one season time.

But the idea of Barcelona buying Griezmann, Atletico replacing him with Joao Felix, and then Barcelona giving Suarez to Atletico for free... and then swapping Griezmann back to Atletico is, well- hilarious.

This is the kind of stuff I would see on FM and think how unrealistic it is.

Seriously, if we send Griezmann to Atletico they will win LaLiga again. I don't think it's an option unless we are bankrupt.

Couldn't care less about Atletico to be honest. We should only look at ourselves.

Not sure about Saul though, he's the usual, generic Atletico midfielder, but if it's Griezmann or Messi+Saul it's a pretty easy choice. Fingers crossed for Pep though, I would much rather see Laporte here. Not that I think any of this will happen.

Of course but Saul is on high wages too? His wages are pretty ridiculous for his last season level

He could be another Pjanic. High wages, drop in quality. It's a big risk.

It's nowhere as big of a risk. Saul is still 26 and in his prime physically, Pjanic is washed up and was never athletic. Saul just likely experienced loss of confidence and form, which he himself spoke about.
