Antoine Griezmann

Barcelona have been made aware that Manchester City have no interest in buying Antoine Griezmann this summer.

City informed Barcelona earlier in the summer that they would not consider player-swap deals in light of interest from the Spanish club in stars such as Laporte.

can't see why City would want Griezmann in the first place, the guy is a clown, a clown I can't imagine Pep being fond of. We'll be stuck with him next season at this rate. Thanks Barto

What club could even realistically go for him, besides maybe the Atletico rumors?

no club was that stupid to pay 120M for him and then sign him on 21M net a season for 5 years.

the guy was never in his whole career near the talent and performance that would warrant such sums.

Nah. In a world where Dembeles and Coutinhos go for same price he was a bargain. T

First we wanted to sign him for hundred mil, which would have been pretty good deal but he made his decision tape with Pique and stayed with Atletico.

He wasn't bad deal per say, he was bad fit. We don't need him, because of Messi. That's on Barto.

the fact that we were that stupid to pay those amounts for two other duds, doesn't make griezmann a better player on it's own. and he wasn't a bargain for a player that doesn't provide more than alexis sanchez and we now want to get rid of.

he was a bad deal overall. and not many teams need him, not just because we have messi. he works in certain environments, when team is not on the initiative attacking wise.

Yeah but my point was, if he was available today(same age when we signed) without those crazy salary demands, teams would buy him for 100 mil. He is quality.

He is coaches wet dream type of player.

wasn't he available the whole time because of the release clause he had at atletico? nobody moved in to pay that. because nobody was that stupid to pay +100M and 20M net a season on him.

coaches wet dream for defensive managers like simeone or deschamps maybe.

Some talk now about Chelsea possibly going after him. They're first going to try and make a close to 150m offer for Haaland and see if Dortmund are willing to let him go, but apparently that's very unlikely unless Chelsea offer more than 170m.

With every passing day I feel more and more we won't be able to ship him nowhere and remain stuck with him for at least one more year.

bullshit if you ask me. they splashed on havertz to play the 10/false 9/trequartista/whateverthefuck role and now they want griezmann also? it's clear that they need a battering ram of a striker a la drogba and haaland fits the bill.

mount and werner will play the wings. havertz in behind the striker. kante, jorginho will hold the midfield.

Make your peace Antoine Griezmann folks. Clubs with a much better track record of squad building aren't going to spend a fortune on Griezmann. Forget about it, stop with the emotional investment, and get used to seeing him for at least the next 2 years.
