Messi isn't a replacement, he was already here last season. Depay is a replacement, but he's not really proven himself besides playing in a worse league than La Liga. Depay may score 10 to 15 goals, but I think Griezmann is better than him. Depay will most likely be our starting striker, but I have problems with his overall game.

Atletico rarely play a midfield three and Llorente has been more often wide in a four or in front two.

You don't get it do you? It's not about who is a better player but who fits better in our current roaster and salary cap. If Depay can deliver 15+ goals and Fati recovers we won't miss Griezmann at all. He was a horrible fit from the beginning.
