We can?t keep Griezmann and retain Messi.
No other club wants Griezmann except Atletico.

Or would you rather let Messi walk and rely on Griezmann?

Stop Atletico not only club who wants Greaseman.

We sold fkn Gomes and semedo for 40m we can do samefor hardworking rarely injured cardio world cup winner with good euros

We're basically giving Atletico our second-best goal scorer for two years in a row. In exchange, we've received 7m for Suarez plus expenditures worth half of his salary and a has-been at the age of 26.

Great deals! Can't wait for the next summer.

And I don't even rate Griezmann. Like at all.

I would not, but
1) I don't believe there would be no other team interested during the transfer window.
That's just playing the cards that this egomaniac, Griezman, used to push the club around his wishes

2) In the worst case that the club HAD no other option but negotiate with Atleti, I would force them to send us a better player along our real needs, or pay just money

How come?
With Aguero playing most of the games up top?
Without Dembele for a chunk of the season?
Without Wiladum at MD, and having again Busi-Frenkie-Pedri to play everything with only Moriba (if he renews) to cover?
And no real upgrade on CBs?

Don't see it

Saul would improve the options in midfield, Pedri improves, FDJ settles in position and improves further, Dest/Araujo improve possibly even Mingueza, Garcia improves squad, Emerson improves squad, Fati returns, Depay improves options up top.

Happier Messi for whole season.

All or some will happen and improve team in my opinion. Lets see.

the reality is no attacking team wants him when he's on that salary. otherwise many other teams would have tried for him, even when he was at atletico and had that release clause.

also, don't think griezmann wants to leave spain. he'll retire in the MLS most probably, why would he go to another country for 3-4 years?

Actually feel happy for Griezmann. For two years he has been treated like garbage but now he is suddenly a messiah.

You only value thing when you are about lost it.

Do you really think there's no better deal possible for greaseman?

No, and there is zero evidence there is one.
You think our board found a better deal and decided to help Atletico as a charity or something?

But now we have Depay, Messi, Fati, and Aguero for 3 spots. Didn't we loan Trincao too? Demebele out injured, Griezmann going... kind of light if someone gets injured.

Collado is promoted and I think we will see Demir a lot with 1st team.

We are basically in a financial predicament that leaves us having to pick one of Griezmann or Messi to stay on the wage bill given the renewed structure.

In an ideal world, some PL club would splash big on a 30-year-old Griezmann and we recoup a big portion of the fee. In reality, there are other players in Europe who are younger and more appealing to this kind of clubs now.

It's reached a crisis point where we basically need one of them off the books.

Are those any good? We'd surely need another top youngster making the next step.

Demir is already 1st team player in Austrian league, same league that folks like Halaand came from.
Is he good enough to make 1st team impact? Guess we will have to wait and see.
But it is rebuilding during time of financial crisis, the club will go football manager mode.

We lost Griezmann deal financially the moment we signed him, not now.
28+ years old player on high salary turning into top 5 most expensive player in history? If he doesn't became a top performer instantly then you flushed your money in the toilet.
