They just bought Declan Rice, I don't think they need Zubimendi.

Teams at moment are looking for midfielders that can get up and down pitch and getting Zubi allows Rice to be that.

Pep is looking for it with Nunes and Kovacic, Liverpool are looking for it more than rigid mids in middle and Real are doing same with Cama, Valverde, Bellingham going way of their midfield.

Chelsea paid massively for Enzo to get that freedom and another to allow him it.

It is was that midfield is going.. the box to box types are worth a fortune and the top teams want them.

Carried Saint Gilloise, now carrying Leverkusen. The new Victor Osimhen. And he only cost a little less than 20m.

On the odd occasion there is a special talent in the 3rd tier European Leagues ( Haaland in Austria, Boniface in Belgium ) . I feel there is a certain arrogance at Barca to buy from these leagues for the first team.
If we ain't going to do it with our current financial situation, I doubt we ever will.
He didn’t carry Union and he definitely didn’t always score in the big domestic games. Only had 2 goals in the play offs and chocked in the game for the title. He was more spectacular in the Europa League.

Not that he isn’t good but he went for 27,5mil so we couldn’t afford him anyway this season and last season he came back from an acl injury and ended up in Union (with or without help from Brighton).

Great job getting rid of players. Every player that needed to leave left. This should help morale a lot, along with going with only 19 players.

All 19 should get their chances. Not all will pan out, but least at the get go you can't tell who will fail. I am excited about the quality of the first co u pl e subs.

Was just about to post this, hence the quick reply.

Have to be quicker in the Brazilian (SA) market, simply.

Chelsea strategy will eventually burn out, or atleast become more concise as time goes by.

Hopefully next summer with a bit of financial margin we can buy a 10-20m talents like chicken feed.

You're right but we just can't compete right now with clubs who can afford to throw money around for everyone they want.

Hopefully kids will also become smarter and not signing to be one of 30 players out on loan for Chelsea for years.

Although if you're an agent Chelsea will probably sell your player for 30-40m while Barca will give him up for almost nothing. So makes sense why agents would prefer their players going there.

Also linked to Alvaro Montoro from Velez Sarfsfield, 16 yo midfielder.

Apparently hasn't signed professional contract yet so could get him for free.

@soul24rage you know him?

Agreed 983. If/when we have the money I'm sure we can go for an identified talent with money and get the talent early though.

I read in the Sevilla paper that they are also linked. For now, this kids agent is doing a great job of getting him known.

Talking about Argentine players then we'll get a close look at Alan Varela this fall. We were linked a lot to him and he joined Porto for 10m or something like that.

I've seen the news, but never heard or seen him play as the guy is so young. Velez has been producing some quality young players and would be one to keep an eye on.

Gabriel Moscardo, the 17-year-old midfielder, who is triumphing at Corinthians is one of the Brazilian 'jewels' that Deco likes the most, as SPORT unveiled this Wednesday. In principle, this pivot, which is concentrated with the Olympic Seleção next to Vitor Roque to play two friendlies against Morocco U-20, had its transfer to Chelsea... but the negotiations between the clubs have now entered an area of uncertainty.

'Timao', which has 80% of the federal rights, and asks for 30 million euros for its emerging star that dazzles in Brazil and abroad.

Chelsea's last move for Moscardo was, as the Brazilian press explained, 21 million euros plus 4 in variables plus a percentage in the capital gain of a future sale.

Corinthians knows that it will lose its soccer player in the coming months before the winter market, but it is not in a hurry to finalize the operation.

The ball is now in play. There is a game. We will have to see if Barça will move or not sign for a 'jewel' that has the endorsement of Deco.

---

In theory we should have that 24m + variables that we flew to Turkey to close Arda Guler available.

Conclusions
-Sport have a new Fresneda, Andrey, Fabricio Diaz to talk about daily
-Xavi will prefer Guido Rodriguez
