Gabriel Moscardo, the 17-year-old midfielder, who is triumphing at Corinthians is one of the Brazilian 'jewels' that Deco likes the most, as SPORT unveiled this Wednesday. In principle, this pivot, which is concentrated with the Olympic Seleção next to Vitor Roque to play two friendlies against Morocco U-20, had its transfer to Chelsea... but the negotiations between the clubs have now entered an area of uncertainty.

'Timao', which has 80% of the federal rights, and asks for 30 million euros for its emerging star that dazzles in Brazil and abroad.

Chelsea's last move for Moscardo was, as the Brazilian press explained, 21 million euros plus 4 in variables plus a percentage in the capital gain of a future sale.

Corinthians knows that it will lose its soccer player in the coming months before the winter market, but it is not in a hurry to finalize the operation.

The ball is now in play. There is a game. We will have to see if Barça will move or not sign for a 'jewel' that has the endorsement of Deco.

---

In theory we should have that 24m + variables that we flew to Turkey to close Arda Guler available.

Conclusions
-Sport have a new Fresneda, Andrey, Fabricio Diaz to talk about daily
-Xavi will prefer Guido Rodriguez

An absolute starter with Sampaoli, Wesley is valued and has European clubs interested in his football. Brighton is one of them. Other Premier League teams have also approached him.

The right-back's staff has the information that Barcelona will make another foray into Europe's winter window.

I need to see more, but I fear this signing at the moment.

The comments are not that favourable on the Twitter comments either.

Seems like they are using Barca old links to add to the news.
Good talent to follow tbh, and would have been a great transfer last January but he doesn't make much sense atm

Barca, due to being the team that most closely followed joga bonita style of football, are by far the most popular foreign team in Brazil.

In Argentina, every young player dreams of Barca because of Messi.

As a result Barca has almost first choice with most players from the best two footballing countries in South America and maybe the world.

Quite remarkably, Barca has taken absolutely no advantage of this fact. Comically, there are no Brazilian or Argentinian players here. (Apart from Raph.)

Hopefully the addition of Deco will help to change that, in the very least in the Brazilian market. But honestly, if they had any sense, they would be buying South American players before Spanish.

So, slow days during FIFA break. So a chance for super early talk of future transfers in summer.

Since Laporta has arrived, we have a clear affection toward free agents (signing at least 2 every summer) so Here is a list of free agents in 2024, you can filter it by position too. Worth noting some of them have club option for another year (like Soucek, Bissaka, Merit, Jorginho and Fofana)

Some names that I think we may consider:
Zieliński is an interesting midfield option, with Guido Rodriguez & Koke being a Xavi type of choice in midfield signing.
Nico Williams is a bit mediocre but he has potential and can serve a purpose here if salary is right.
Mehdi Taremi is a guy I think we should consider if we can move Lewa out and betting on Roque.

Some other names: Miranda is a below average Liga player, but could replace Alonso as back up LB, Dimitrievski would be a decent back up GK if we kick Pena out, Atal could be a decent back up RB

Overall it is very underwhelming crop of free agents, outside of Mbappe for sure

Next wonderkid war in Europe? Madrid already linked. No doubt we will follow suit in the media.

I hope the days we have to rely on cheap veteran signings will be over by next summer. If not I don't really know what else Tebas expect us to do to return to normal.

Hopefully can get a longterm DM and RB (we'll see how this season will go but I'm not really a fan of signing Cancelo longterm). No to likes of Guido and Koke. I don't think Romeu is as bad as people think and should be fine as a backup.

I don't believe we need more short term solutions unless it's backups for positions we have settled starters in.

There are surely better backup GKs than Pena. And with goalies I'm not really that bothered with their age, still shouldn't sign someone like Pepe Reina for example ofc.

As you've said wouldn't mind Taremi as experienced striker if we can offload Lewy to SA and go all in with Roque (hope we can get him in January so he'll have 6 months to adapt).

I actually quite like Miranda and think he has improved in Betis. Could def do worse than him as backup LB. Can potentially also try Mika Faye there but shouldn't really mess up with his positions right now he's still adapting and is clearly the best CB of Barca B.

Miranda as a cheap back up could work if have likes of Cancelo there or even Faye emerging as first team squad player who can cover at LB also.

Then allows the club to keep trying to develop Valle if he does well at Levante and the next step would be a loan to La Liga side.

Glad to hear Deco mentioning how Bojan will be helping with the monitoring of players out on loan. This is something club have lacked big time and too often fo;lk just thinking for some unkown reason loans dont work for Barca. Step in right direction and also crucial to keeping top La Masia players if can show them good loan pathways if too good for B team and not quite ready for first team.

Other free transfers club could look at... Tete from Fulham for depth is decent if want to add that and can see Xavi possibly still wanting Morata with inexperience of Roque if the club cash in on Saudi Lewa offers.

Nico should be a no brainer if doesnt renew to at least attempt to sign him.. Rayo GK as has been mentioned and let Pena go and be a GK someehere with 50% rights held.

Just keep Xavi away from the likes of Koke in the free agency pool and we're good.

Whoever we go for, have to tie up quickly (think January time), so can't have salary cap issues looming over our head that deters targets until later in the year.

Guys like Nico (if he wants to stay in Europe) should be fine as they will probably shun Saudi Arabia as they still hold ambition in European football.

But others later in their careers will be getting big contract offers from Saudi.

Not necessarily too big of an issue as it could mean they have mentally checked out of the pressures of elite European football. But something to keep in mind if expecting a Morata, Koke or Zielinski to wait for us.
