Feel like he'd end up sat on the bench. He hardly brings a new dynamic to the midfield that would warrant this signing. Unless Busquets is really being phased out hard by Xavi this and next year, in which case maybe his experience is a positive.

Thiago is the one player that I can actually see succesfully replace Busquets to some extent. Just some years younger of course, and not really used to the position, but he has got the vision, the technique and the general quality for it.

Going to be alot of agents stirring the pot with Barcelona being interested in former players now Xavi is back. Well I thought that initially... until Dani Alves signed ...

Anyways, probably better to get into training sessions and assess what level Gavi, Pedri, Puig and Nico actually sit (aswell of Dest and Mingueza) before thinking of the return of Thiago (and Alves).

Same with guys like Pique, Roberto and Busquets who you would expect Xavi would notice the decline over the past 6 years.
