Exactly what Alba needs though.

Yes, but I really don't recall when was the last time, the club actually bought a direct replacement for someone. LB and RB are so specific positions.

I'd be over the moon, if Ricardo came. He'd elevate Jordis level and give us two great options. He might even overplay Alba. And Ricardo is a good penalty kick taker

Let's use those 60 M to bring - Diego Simeone.

He maybe plays dirty and ugly football but he pulls out out of the players more then they have (he even made pathetic Torres into top noch scorer agaist us and that 20 year old kid Hernandez into wall MSN can't breach) and under him our players certaintly wouldn't walk around like primadonas-they would fight like their lives are at stake!

I haven't watched Ricardo, but Jordi surely needs to be pressed. Both to up his game playing-wise, but also to give him incentive to get rid of his diving and despairing-attitude/ref-complaints, where he thinks he can do what he want. A more humble hard-working Alba would improve this team a lot.

Thing with Alba is, he gets along well with the squad, has many friends there. If Lucho was to tell the club: buy someone who not only offers rotation options, but threatens Albas place in the team, this club could go on a meltdown. Barto etc aren't capable of handling situations like these.

I'd still love the club to make it happen and do it wisely.

Edit: Gawd damn I'm supposed to work right now, not chill on teh internetz

Why should Barto handle situations like that? Locker room is Lucho's responsibility.

Yes, he's a coach so he should handle locker room problems. If not, then we should find someone who could do that.

:mou: is still free BTW.

It looks as though Barcelona have found, and signed, their much desired backup to the best attacking trio in the world.

The Catalan giants have reached a verbal agreement with Sevilla to sign striker Kevin Gameiro on a permanent deal, Barça Blaugranes has learned. The Frenchman will arrive this summer at the opening of the transfer window and sign a four-year contract with the Blaugrana.

Gameiro has been linked with Barça for a while, but the interest from the club has intensified in the last few months when the first option transfer, Celta Vigo winger Nolito, did not work. Sporting director Robert Fernández and his team then shifted their priority to Sevilla's highest scorer this season, and the two clubs have been working out on a deal for months, according to sources.

Sevilla first asked for a €30 million transfer fee, which the Catalans attempted to bring down in further negotiations. The Rojiblancos did not lower their asking price, and that is when Barça threw in a player in return: Croatian prospect Alen Halilovic, currently on loan at Sporting Gijón, along with a €20 million fee. Sevilla accepted, and if the deal goes through, the 19-year-old midfielder will sign a permanent contract, but Barça will keep a buy-back clause of around €10 million to bring Halilovic back to Camp Nou after the first year of his new deal.

When the two teams finally reached an agreement, it was time to convince the player. Gameiro has exploded this season, scoring 24 goals in 47 appearances and catching attention from other European giants. The Frenchman would need to accept a very limited amount of minutes with Barça since he is going to serve as a backup to the 'MSN' trio. Because of his speed and ability to play in all three positions of the attack, his chances of playing more often increase, and he could have a similar role as Pedro Rodríguez had in his final year as a Blaugrana.

Gameiro has also accepted the conditions, and is keen on moving to Catalonia at season's end. Unless something crazy happens, Barcelona have secured their first signing for the 2016/17 season.

What do you think, Blaugranes? Like the signing, the price, the potential fit in the team?

Is this true?

If we're talking a young forward Ousman Dembele is the guy to get.

Along with Martial he is the future.

Ousmane Dembele played 15 games of professional football.
Should have bought him last year if our scouting system was actually good, not now that half Europe wants him.

Heard a lot of similar stuff recently...

Let me just ask you, a Sevilla fan. Can he really play as a winger? I've never seen him at the wing.

20 mill + Halilovic on a permanent deal for a 29 yo striker for the bench. OMG.

I'd rather sign Fernando Torres on a free transfer.
