Raki as an AM is a fucking beast tho. He's just dribbling past 2-3 players no problem. I want to see what he can do against a central defending trio of Pique-Busi-Ramos. If he humiliates them too, I'd like him to get more minutes in a more free role when Iniesta needs rest.

I agree with that but the problem is we don't have anyone who could play Rakitic's current role in that case (and we have players like Rafinha and Denis who can play in Iniesta's role). Roberto is probably the closest to that from our current midfielders but he'll most likely be starting RB.
At the end is Gabriel who will decide. IF he says to Palmeiras he wants to leave and that he only wants to join Barça (or City or United) then they'd probably have to accept our offer that will be a couple of millions lower (at least fixed amount and with more variables) than others. If he doesn't have a prefered club then his club can take the best offer.
That said, I don't know much about this kid but for me he's just Sport's flavor of the week. I don't think we'll buy him. Yes, he could be a great talent but will need at least a season or two to adapt so it's a question how much he'd really help the team in that time. I really think we should get someone who can perform right away as backup for MSN and I don't believe Lucho would really trust some 19 yo kid to do that. Only way I could see us buy him is if the club think Neymar will leave next summer and Gabriel can be his longterm replacement. But I doubt that as we'll go for a bigger name in case Ney leaves. Some people are saying he can play all positions in our attack but as [MENTION=2]Bojan[/MENTION] said I also doubt he can play Messi or Suarez's role, so he'd most likely only be Neymar's backup.

Huh? How did you arrive at that? You just asked which players we have been rumored? So far only Denis and I was comparing their performances not their abilities. Both had a good season, but we are paying only 4.5M for Denis why should we pay 30M for Kante? City bought Gundogan for less than that.

See i will make it simple for you, would you pay 30M for Denis Suarez if we didn't have a buyback clause? This 30M figure also is a rumored release clause, if not for that he would cost 50M just for one good season. It is as silly as the rumors of 50 - 60M bids for Andre Gomas. And no this is not the amount everyone pays, only stupid clubs like PSG and City pay that much. 30M would actually be a decent for a player like Kante, but right now it is a gamble.

Having a player like kante would give the likes of iniesta more freedom and also compensate for Messi's lack of defensive contribution. But it might be a good thing, if you have the two most creative players in the world why burden them with defensive work where you can get another player that is a specialist in that area and does enough running for 2 people every game he plays.
Like I said it could work, but we would have to change our system and I don't think lucho wants that. That's why kante has been linked with every other big team apart from us.

Kante wouldn't work here.
He's a pure Destroyer and not good enough on the ball. our system relies heavily on Busi, and when he's not playing we clearly suffer without him. Mascherano, who is a far better and much more complete DM than Kante is even struggles in this system as a lone Pivot.
