Also, people who think that we will get 20M for Masch, 25M for Song, 20M for Alves, 10M for Sergi Roberto and similar, will be really dissapointed in the upcoming Months.

They all are worth it, except Sergi Roberto. (and song just 20mil)

Good idea. At least he would be cheaper and wouldn't mind that much sitting on the bench sometime.

Kompany we won't get. We may have a chance on Marquinhos, but PSG will ask for a lot. Laporte you need to pay the buyout + taxes for. Benatia we have competition from City, but I hope we manage to get him. David Luiz.... Chelsea will ask for a lot and he is not even that good.... Javi Martinez is wasted at CB IMO and Bayern won't sell him, they just won't.

It was obvious for some time that our fans think that we will get 40M for Sanchez, but in reality we will get 20-25.

Top teams like Real, Bayern, Chelsea don't need Alexis and he wouldn't play there in the first team.
He can play in Juventus, Milan, Roma, Arsenal.
But those teams will not pay silly amounts for Alexis.

And there you go, we will have 20 or 25M.

You are mentioning Illaramendi. A transfer can be that high only when a team like Real or Barca is desperate and will pay whatever it takes to get a player.
About Alexis, no one is desperate to take him and to pay whatever it takes for him.

Madrid get great prices for their players. They sold Ozil for 42m. They sold Robinho for 40m. They sold Higuain for 40m. They sold a mediocre CB to Napoli for 12m. We release almost every player on a free transfer or sell them for rock bottom prices.

I do fully expect to release every player we get rid of on a free transfer though, except Masche for 8m, Song for 8m and Alves for 5m. That is typical Barca prices. About one third of the prices that normal clubs get for their players.

Expect us to sign David Luiz for 45m.

We used to sell dead wood mostly so as its starters we might be selling the prices have to be 20m+

Well then I think we shouldn't sell him. I think he's someone that both the fans and the management too are on the fence about... He's blown hot and cold but scored some real crucial goals like clasico and atl Madrid games.. He has stepped up and shown class of the player we thought we were getting but then has Been invisible and poor in front of goal at other times..

So it's not a case where the player is useless and we need to get rid of him.. Nor is it a scenario of the player throwing a tantrum about wanting to leave and unsettling the dressing room... If that's the case I see no reason why we should sell unless the money is top notch.. There really is no need for us to be selling him in distress.. It's not like we would break without the 20m he'd fetch from juve or whoever... So keep him, if a great offer comes by let him go. That's how I would want this to play out..

Could it be that we are obsessed with unavailable players because they will be massively overpriced and thus more opportunities for corruption? I have always wondered about the stupidity of our transfer targets. Its like this: "Barca have been scouting John Terry for some time and the reports are good". I mean, how stupid can these people get? I dont think it is stupidity, I can it is corruption involved.

Except other top clubs sell their "dead wood" for good prices. We are Barcelona. Just because a player isnt good enough for us, doesnt mean the player is bad. Madrid managed to get 12m for a medicre CB. Robinho, the massive flop, fetched 40m. They usually sell even their flops for profits. They even sold Sergio Canales for a profit. We release them on a free transfer.

Alexis isn't bad. But he probably isn't what Barca needs and we probably won't compete for CL with him.

About not selling him and similar players, it goes like this:
1. the club would like to sell him and buy some different players for that position, for example
2. the problem is if you get only 20M for him
-- that is too low, we all agree, but then you have two options:
a) keep him and if he again starts to play hot and cold, or not good enough for Barca, then you have lost another Season because of the decision to keep him
-- he could start to score and prove that it was a good decision to keep him
-- he could play bad/average and people will be angry why we didn't sell him
b) if you sell him for 20M, again two options are possible:
-- our new signing will be expensive and equally good/bad/average as him (so, selling Alexis was bad, plus we spent a lot of money for another "not good enough" player)
-- our new signing will prove like a perfect player for us (selling Alexis was a good decision then)

In the option a, probably even the board thinks that even if Alexis will play to his best, that it still won't be what the club needs.
So, they will rather gamble, lose money and risk with some other solutions.
