So they want an old defender with exp. + a younger one? Still dont get it why it has to be Mathieu...

Depending on the price Mathieu is a very good signing.

He is quick, good on the ball, has experience and importantly he is comfortable when pulled into the full back position as the Barca CBs often are when the full backs have bombed on.

This signing should have happened a year ago though.

Mathieu and Bravo are neither Barcelona players yet, nor is it guaranteed that they will, and if they are, they will not be starting players either.

Mathieu is a good player and quite a good option if we want an experienced CB IMO if we go for a short term solution. Mathieu for a couple of years until we get a more competent board of have a chance of actually getting a world class, established CB(if we even need one by the time being), can be a good option.

When Cuadrado's team mate says that he is more attacking than Dani Alves then you surely got to think twice. Should not even be thinking about it once since he is not a RB.... Sigh.
