That makes no sense.

People say barcelona doesn't try benatia because he's not for sale, so Barcelona leaves them alone.

People say barcelona doesn't try Subotic because BvB doesn't sell its stars, so Barcelona leaves them alone.

Nasser could tag a giant announcement on the Champs Elysées saying "Marcos is not for sale", Barcelona would keep harrassing him.

Conclusion: It's not that Roma and BvB say No, it's just Barcelona not even considering Hummels, Subotic or Benatia and only focusing on Marquinhos.

Our board are stubborn as f***, that's why they'll keep going for Marcos even if they already know that he's not for sale and they forget "more reallistic" targets like Benatia, Subotic, Musacchio, Schar ...

There was. Just like last year.

People should get over it. They want Marquinhos and will try and try again till success or fail. They don't care about PSG's opinions.

What PSG and Barca say to the press and what they say to each other are likely not the same things. You put way too much emphasis on what the press says, and considering they are only outsides I don't think it's right to take what they say as truth. Clubs will tell the press what they want to be printed, not necessarily what is fact.

Perhaps. Its stupid anyway to keep bidding for him repeatedly when there are better options at those price.

That's not the press.

Nasser said in off to Le_Parisien that Marcos is not for sale.
Blanc said he asked Nasser and Al Thani their opinion on the matter when they all met in Brazil. He said they are both 100% ok with him, Marcos is not for sale since in the eyes of Blanc he's the next TS at PSG.

Not too bothered with Marquinhos anymore. Lots of better center backs out there, just that Barca are either being priced out, or the clubs wont sell at all. Marquinhos can continue to warm the bench at PSG, instead of possibly being a regular starter at Barca

Maybe because they think Marquinhos is the best option, and doesn't demand an excessive salary. Maybe behind the scenes Marquinhos himself is really pushing for a move, who knows really.

We definitely need a right back, Dani a great servant but is sadly past it now and I don't think Montoya is good enough, then when we get banned from transfer window next summer Alves is out of contract which leaves us with just Montoya! For the season after..... " oh dear "

And also no way to sick note Vermaelen but dosent he play the exact same positions as Mathieu? So dosent make any sense! But in my opinion it's just bullshit anyway!

Looking at some of the other top clubs of Europe here are their CBs:

Bayern Munich: Dante, Boateng, Badstuber (+Martinez just in case)
BvB Dortmund: Hummels, Subotic, Sokratis
Real Madrid: Ramos, Pepe, Varane (+Nacho just in case)

They all have 3 CBs that rotate and another versatile player who can fill in. We currently have the same...
FC Barcelona: Pique, Bartra, Mathieu (+Mascherano just in case)

Going after another high-profile, expensive, "WC" CB is not only useless but counter productive to Bartra, Ie, Bagnack & Diagne. The problem is if the board still wants this "high-caliber" CB they shouldn't have wasted money/time on Mathieu and should have got that CB from the start. The price would have been high but it's going to be higher now since we have Mathieu.

The problem is that we haven't been linked to a single other "RB" than Cuadrado this summer. Considering how the board have been leaking their transfer-targets for fun to the press in recent months, it seems difficult to imagine that one of their transfer-targets wouldn't be mentioned in the press yet.
