If we have money to bid for Amrabat and Araujo, we have money for Silva. We missed the train with Cancelo (who would be even more needed and ideal), hopefully we don't do the same with Silva. A loan with an affordable (and lower than Cancelo's) option to buy (40-50M) is most likely totally feasible. He could be the player that elevates us to winning the Europa League too. Not just La Liga, which we should do even without him.
I assume there is quite a big difference in wages Amrabat or Araujo would get compared to Bernardo. Don't expect we'll actually sign Amrabat, probably just usual Romero BS to get his attention (like he hyped up the last day of summer TW when nothing happened). Araujo looks more likely but not sure if he's what we need or who Xavi would like us to sign. From what I've seen from him don't think he fits a profile of RB Xavi is looking for. Don't believe there is any chance to get Bernardo tbh.
Another thing to consider City would probably prefer to loan Bernardo to a club that will be likely to actually buy him in summer to not get him back if he has really fallen out of favor with Pep. We're in no position to know if we'd have 70m (there is no way 40-50m would be enough and we can't even guarantee to have that much) to spend in summer on a "luxury signing" when we have more urgent needs at RB and DM, could add LW to that as well.
I also think we should avoid signing players from Pep and Klopp (can also add Simeone here although his style is different). They all come physically and/or mentally exhausted after working under the most demanding coaches in the world for years. They normally don't just give up on players they think could still be of use for them. There should be some red flags in that regards for both Cancelo and Bernardo (if he ends up leaving).
