I thought he'd retire when he was fired from Bayern. I was completely shocked that the players were against him and complained about too relaxed training load. That was rare, if you ask me.

I felt sorry for him because, even today, he strikes me as a likeable man.

I was very suprised when he came back to Madrid and became successful again.
However, I wonder if the guy, after all, in his 60s now, is still digging it analytically. Is he like Pep, or Einstein, spending days and nights thinking and overthinking, trying different options and scenarios, strategies, plan A, plan B etc. Or is it just his presence of Napoleon, and he's got staff to do the shop work for him?

Pep would be absolutely delighted you mentioned him in the same sentence as Einstein, lol.

I get your point though - Pep is the most Einstein-like coach.

Ancelotti is far from a likeable man.

A wolf in sheep's clothing this guy.
I don't know...I thought he was like Don Carlo, the Italian, who kisses his players on forehead when they deliver performance for him...
Lewandowski spoke well of him...did not join the rebels at Bayern if I remember correctly.

He looks the part for sure, but then he uses a tragedy like the one in Valencia to prop up his player who's been receiving criticism for his behaviour.

So I don't know.

He’s always been average as a league coach, 1 league title in 8 years with Milan is not a good return. Plus he also had his share of embarrassing European moments there. The Liverpool and Deportivo comebacks for example.

The Real Madrid 2021 move has majorly reignited his career and reputation though because prior to that he was basically fading to obscurity.

Real Madrid has only retained Liga title once since the start of the 90's. That was 07 & 08.

During same time, only RM won consecutive CL totles, the trio under Zidane.

It is normal consistency issues tbh.

Yea but now the CL, is really set up like a league to start with.

If they want to continue there CL voodoo, they need to lobby for a change back to the old format or fire carlo.

Why? CL starts in February/March, Madrid will be ready.

OTOH our German idiot will burn out the players by then winning irrelevant games.
