if no new injuries crop up and iniesta and rio recover on-time the CL lineups will be thus.

valdes
puyol, pique, caceres, sylvinho
xavi, yaya, keita
messi, eto'o, iniesta

van der sar
o'shea, rio, vidic, evra
carrick, giggs, anderson
park, ronaldo, rooney

Drop Keita put Iniesta next to Xavi and Henry out wide.

that may be the case, ed, but the club won't take that kind of risk.

or maybe they will, I don't know. there's a world cup at the end of next season, surely he'd wanna be fit and firing for that, not slow and rusty? plus it takes about a year (or longer? maz?) to fully recover from a cruciate injury even after you begin playing again. so we'd essentially be risking ending his career.

A colleague (Man Utd fan) and I have been sending emails back and forth to see what a merged Barcelona and Man Utd first team would like. Completely uninteresting for you guys possibly but we came up with a 4-2-3-1 formation. I don't think it would do that well in a game, but anyway:

---------------- Van der Sar ------------------

Alves ------- Rio ---------- Vidic -------- Evra

------------ Xavi --------- Carrick -------------

Ronaldo ---------- Messi -------------- Iniesta

------------------- Rooney ---------------------

We were kind of 50/50 with Fletcher and Carrick, I wanted Fletcher, he wanted Carrick or Toure...same with up top, I wanted Eto'o he wanted Rooney. Everything else was easy though.

Yeah know what your saying Meta just wondering if it's mind games !
Iniesta is much more of a threat in the middle than out wide.
What do you think about Eto'o out wide and Bojan in the centre ?

According to most bookmakers, FC Barcelona are favorites to lift the Champions League trophy on May the 17 in Rome.
The difference in odds is minimal but here it goes. Barca: 1,95 - ManUtd: 2

he won't make it.

no chance we risk losing him for a year by playing him with injured cruciates.

Henry could make it, I believe in him. He is abviously working very hard, his biggest current dream is obviously to win the CL. The only problem is if he recovers in time, he can't play while he's still injured. He is receving sppecial treatment and o'shea isn't a hard tackler like sergio ramos. It all depends on the speed of his recovery. Why Ramos, Why did you tackle him!?!!
:henry::henry::henry:please henry, we all want you to play in the CL final

At 17 may we will be the favourites to lift La Liga trophy. xD

I think Manchester is the favourite. Quite clearly
