Xavi is a legend. What a guy.
i thought that about cesc. but didnt he said he was so jealous not to be part of this historic team.hope we get him next year.but not at ridiculous price.Wonder what went through Fabregas, Fran (Merida), dos santos's minds after the game, imagine the possibilities they both have in Barcelona, seeing Busquets starting then Pedrito taking the field. They both could have been part of the team.
i don't really know tbh.i wasn't there this time, and wouldn't like to offer an opinion on the vocal stylings,or choice of song.
last time i went to a european cup final, they had montserrat caballe singing out of a pope-mobile.
who sung when you last went to one?
Heath, the last Final attended was a jett-off to Moscow, Luzhniki, thanks to a complementary ticket by a Chelsea team escort Friend.
We almost went thru visa troubles there as we had not completed the forms sent to Russian embassies in our respective countries prior to the finals, however, we were granted asylum on "match-priority status" as so to a few others as well.
The opening ceremony in Moscow was nothing compared to Maeastro Sounds of Andrea Bocelli in Rome at all. Infact the only highlight of 07/08 was the stashed down Man.U hotel after their win from a wet penalty shoot-out on the newly-laid artificial pitch grounds as well as The smell of fresh coat-paint on the old stadium walls (it was a job well-done by the Russians though)..knowing they had to peak up security too.
But who actually sung last time I went to one.?..oh it was the Academy of St. Martin - a performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra. Andrea's mix of the Anthem was probably best yet as it set the mood, which amplified itself better on the second take. That is why I thought that perhaps "Conte Patiro" -time to say goodbye- would have mellowed things better for the reigning champions, or just maybe that Celine was missing the moment.
One never really needs to physically attend a final inorder to actually feel the opening ceremony, most had the priviledge of witnessing all from cable's comprehensive coverage or Digital tv for that matter.
Great.

maybe you owned me,maybe you wiki'ed the info, fair play either way.
Just watched it for the 8th time this morning myself. TheMessiShow, I must tell you this, I did not really believe we won CL finals until after Puyol lifted the Trophy on ESPN's "game aftermath" show, the feeling was just too surreal for me. I remember being drunk way before kick-off though, maybe that made things hard to sink in also.
Whats more is that our semi's 2nd leg was propably the most toughest single match in the entire CL season of 08/09.
did you actually see the Messi header gpal or was it side-faced by the little man..?..LoL.. just weird stuff happened in Rome man,.(I mean this well though..)
His header was a strange one indeed. It was like a reverse diving header. How he controlled that I don't know. Did he control that? I think it can be questioned.
Another big question for me is what the hell was Eto'o doing during his celebration? It was as if he was getting ready for some crack!
