Arrogance is not something posters here associate with Temptation, but gotta say this:

We're just so much superior to every team in the world in the way we play Football and dominate. Such a complete team. We've got the mentality as well as the requisite defensive solidity to blow overrated teams out of the park.

Also, the clowns calling Anfield overrated are just jealous. There's a reason why even so many haters and opposition figures call it the most rocking atmosphere including a certain Alex Ferguson who is not really an admirer of Liverpool. Ask your Barca players how good the atmosphere is. They know it, first hand. YNWA.

Not over yet. 2-0 is decent result for Villarreal.

Liverpool didn't look good Vs Benfica in second match and they have premier League to focus too.

Liverpool aren't Barca, it's over. Villarreal will have to open up in the 2nd leg and Liverpool will score on the counter. They will be fine even if they concede a few goals.

Going cocky to second match with 2-0 win, what could go wrong? I am not saying they have a huge chance but they probably see this as decent opportunity. Villarreal went there for 0-0, 1-0 and 2-0.. They can win home.

Yes, it will be incredibly hard but they have their small city rocking for them. Whatever atmosphere they had yesterday at Liverpool stadium will be nothing compared to their game of their lifetime.

Villarreal can beat teams with high score lines.

You're welcome
What Tackle said. With Villareal attacking Liverpool will probably have an even easier game than playing at home against a Villareal sitting back.

It's fair. Ofc Villarreal player for player are no match and in order to have a run need to go a bit Greece2004. But Liverpool right now have perfected high octane knockout football. Real Madrid done it through mentality, belief and clinicality, and now Liverpool with Klopp through pure pressure and overwelming.

Still, there is a second leg and as long as Villarreal get in the lead, they will only need 1 goal. El Madrigal is quite an imposing stadium (by Spanish standards) when Villarreal are on- despite the small size.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City are operating at a different level than the rest of the footballing world. Obviously in Europe, Liverpool has the far greater pedigree and experience but City has had that final defeat now too, so perhaps won't be quite as intimidated by the occasion should they meet one another.

True. Elite squads, management, and technical staff. Gonna be hard in the next 2 years for anyone to match them.

Quite impressed by Liverpool's display yesterday.

I was expecting them to put Villareal in their box and create as many chances as they created more or less.
But the way they didNT let Villareal even think of a counter against them, was genuinely excellent!
I can't remember such a domination in a CL semi the last few years.
It was the utmost control a team can exert on a game ->make sure the threat you face is 0, and be producing chances at the same time. There is no way you are not winning game in this scenario

That performance makes them now favorites in my eyes for the CL

Weren't people talking about Klopp running the team to the ground last season and the cycle being over, and similar about Pep the year before.

They are the best two sides, but will have their dips which will always allow other big European sides (mainly Madrid and Bayern to compete and surpass them. And only Madrid dipped because of exposure to Covid, and us exposure to Bartomigos.

Liverpool will need to be more strategic in signings than City as their attack is still reliant on the individual brilliance of few, while City basically go out and sign every tier 1.5 player for every position over the course of every 2 years. Pool don't have that luxury.

Yeah, they don't have a Rossel or Barto so they are not crazy or dumb to make Pep or Klopp leave.

Imagine what we would have achieved if we gave Pep the power a genius like him deserves. Not losing Thiago. Still having peak Messi...

But eh, he was Laporta's guy, so he had to go so that Rossel and Barto could go to town and implement their dumb galactico policy.

Klopp did a fantastic job last season to salvage top 4 after the injury crisis we had.
