4-4-2 with the two banks of 4 retreated, and Messi-Suarez up top not defending or pressing was the STANDARD EV disasterclass tactics.
That happened again at Anfield, as it happened in Rome as well

And what's even worse is that Setien for reasons that no one knows decided to go all Valverde and play the same stupid formation and tactics against Bayern last August...

Barca played 433 away to Liverpool and did look to press and push back line up.

The 442 sitting back was Setien.

Look at the screenshot above

Dont care about any screen shot.

Barca went there to close them down and push line up.

The first goal came from four Barca players in and around Matip who like they did all game tried to tak advantage of Alba attacking and Barca pushing line up to zing it wide.

Barca did not go there to sit deep. Watch it again. They pressed when could and pushed up when could.

Had more of ball than Liverpool and tried to play out from back when could.

There is also EV instructions on tape telling them how to play and was never about sitting back in 442.

Messi, Suarez, Coutinho, Vidal were all getting forward as to was Alba who was one of Barcas most attacking players... that doesnt happen if trying to sit deep and play on break. Even Pique was bombing up pitch at times.

Dude, you are so immersed in your Ego that you can't properly interact with different opinions.

It's you who has to watch the whole game again, and every other game where you have a distorted view of what happened

Having more of the ball says shit about what we are actually talking. But if you could get that, you wouldn't be uttering nonsense.
One team only pressed high in that game, and that was Liverpool.
Barca played 4-4-2, positionally that was always the shape with Messi-Suarez under EV, and only if you are blind you didn't see that it happened again at Anfield.

But as you are blind and can't see for yourself, just play any random tactical analysis video of the game,

or on serious sites about tactics, and educate yourself

PS: Not going to engage in any stupid back and forth with you, if you reply with the exact same post as above saying the exact same shite.
Have warned you again about this.

Barce went to Liverpool to press and pay higher line.

The first goal came from Alba being one of player highest up the park and one of four players high up around Liverpool defence.

They zing it wide to area left by Alba and Barca line about 30/40 yds up park.

Alba was arguably one of Barcas most attacking players constantly bombing on and not 'sitting in a back four'. Roberto and Vidal also got forward to create chances.

Did not play 442... there was no RW in that 442 unless bizzarely try to claim was Vidal.

Also big telling sign of Barca not sitting back... only 2 of 8 chances created on the break, had more of ball than Liverpool, roughly same chances and Liverpool were not spamming crosses as they do when teams sit deep.

You dont have a clue as usual.

Barcelona has always had a bad luck with the draw, but a group with only two favorites. The scenario of last year will be repeated, the question is whether Barcelona can not lose to Bayern at their home, so that they do not come out on top.

So we play Bayern first and last match day. Hmm, I think that might be okay for us. First matchday - everyone is rusty, not in a 8-0 mood. Last matchday, the groups are already dead and both teams playing weakened teams, so hopefully no 8-0.

Ah, the lows we Barca fans have now come to in Cl.

Bad that we start with Bayern at home and Benfica Away, as there is a real possibility we end up with 0/1 points after these 2 games.
Had we started with Bayern away and then Benfica at home, we could have at least 3

Hood thing we start with Bayer home game. Minimal chances for a trashing on the first day. We might get a point even. I hope I don't eat my words later on.

Bayern are twats, they have no mercy at all if they start hammering someone, unlike us. I still remember when we annihilated them in 2008/09 season, 4-0 half time and then, as always we put the foot down. That game could easily end in 8,9 scoreline if we were after them, but 'more then a club' 'respect' and 'fair play' barca always need to put the foot down. Now we suffer. I expect them they go all out on us yet again, hopefully our players are up to task.
