Christian Eriksen

I'm at a loss really, if a player who for 4 seasons in the premier league has scored/assisted 20 goals and is 27 years old isn't worth a €40m gamble (some if not all of which could be recouped if he's awful) then who is?

We have no idea whats going on behind the scenes, we dont know how much Eriksen demands for himself (which can be extremely off putting). One thing is clear, he would make more money if he leaves in summer and not in winter. Again, its kind of weird that the suitors arent lining up for him now.

straight swap with between Eriksen and Rakitic. Mourinho values Raki and he is his biggest fan (after Valverde of course).

Win-win for everyone.

Eriksen just isn't the guy who has money as his first priority. I'm sure he would rather play for less money in Barca or Madrid than playing for spurs. He wants the challenge and his dream to play for the two big ones in Spain.

It sucks compared to Barcelona. Weather blows and it's way too hectic.

And yet, the foreign born population in London is much higher.

Players like Eriksen are a concern. Always worry about the character of players who seemingly give up on their team, in order to get a move.
There are exceptions but...meh

Has he given up though? I thought he was benched because Mourinho said they are looking at the future as well as the present. Probably orders from Levy knowing Eriksen is 100% leaving.

Eriksen isn't that kind of a player.

Raki will leave this coming summer unless we are going to let him go for free next year which I don't see it. So better for him to get out while he is wanted. Coming this summer there is no guarantee he will find a good club with a good payslip. EPL will pay the best.

As McLovin said, it is weird that no one is after him.
Maybe scouts know more than us and he is just a bad fit for teams outside of an EPL.

About his form, stats say that he is declining.
On Whoscored, his average rating over years:
2015/16: 7,42
2016/17: 7,53
2017/18: 7,40
2018/19: 7,08
2019/20: 6,51

My guess about why Barca isn't after him:
1. His form dropped
2. He will ask a huge sign on fee and wages
3. Kinda unproven in big teams
4. He will be 28 next Month and he will probably need 1 year of adapting to Barca and La Liga, meaning that he would start to play well here from the age of 29, which is kinda risky
5. He is more like Coutinho, Fabregas and Denis. We had several players who were Cams recently and none was a success.

We have no idea who's after him and who isn't. For all we know he already has an agreement with a club or he has like 10 offers to consider.

We don't know, but usually there are lots of rumors regarding players.
Remember De Ligt or Frenkie.

Even media isn't too interested in rumors regarding him.
Iirc, even Zidane said thar he doesn't want him, right?

It seems that our forum rates him way higher than coaches and scouts.

Financially a summer move would be better for both Eriksen and the club he'll join so i guess nobody is in a rush here.

I wouldn't be opposed going after him as long as the demands aren't too high, sure getting a player like that "for free" is nice but the wages are already too high.
