Claudio Bravo

Funny how some seem to think that giving MATS game time will transform him in the best GK in history. He may develop and be a awesome GK or he may not a be a huge flop. Just like Bravo might become the next Gigi Buffon and play at an incredible level until he's 40. The only thing we have for sure is PERFORMANCE. And performance wise, Bravo is clearly the number one keeper.

It's called taking a calculated risk, mayn. But of course you probably rate Alexis as a better player than Neymar or Suarez.

Mats is more likely to develop into a great keeper than Bravo is to turn into the next Buffon.

Performance wise you can't say Bravo is significantly better without being a total fanboy. Especially after the 2016 he had for us.

Buffon was World Class from his early 20s and is arguably the greatest GK of All-Time or at least Top 3.

The comparison with Buffon is not on. And for every Buffon, there is a Casillas.

Not saying Bravo is a Casillas, but you can't use the Buffon longevity argument for him when Buffon has almost a couple of decades behind him of World Class consistency.

But Don, that doesn't fit his narrative! You can't expect him to consider that when it doesn't fit his narrative.

There are many other examples of GKs who lasted very long in their late 30's ,from GKs who started greats from Zuff to Buffon to the late bloomers like Van Der Sar & Lehman.
There is just very long to ignore or to act like Buffon was just an exception to the rule.
And sure, there are many like Casillas too.

The opposite could be said and it is really getting boring.both sides have been ignoring the downside of their own favorite GKs.
Many MATS fans ignore how bad he was at the 1st half of last season and act like it never happened or that it was nothing. It goes both way really.

if u say something god serena disagrees with .. you either a fanboy , dilusional etc .. i have never seen someone full of his own opinion .. to disagree with people's opinions is one thing , to call them names just because they disagree with you means you lack the abcs of dialogue .

Mats wasn't bad for an entire half a season, he was bad for a small handfull of games and made the scapegoat for all of our defensive failings for months after that. In all those games you can only find one or two goals conceded that were the result of poor keeping from Mats.

I dont know if its true but in another barca forum , they said that the whole Team wants Ter Stegen to be nr.1 for next Season.

He is popular within the squad and they are telling lucho to start him next season instead of bravo, who they dont seem to have a good relationship

Not true at all. Certain posters here post primarily in favor of a single player and have opinions clearly skewed towards them, or else they just stop posting.

I have disagreed with just about every person on this forum at some point or another and only a few have been on the end of what you are describing.

This is really something made up. Bravo is well liked too, just need to see training pics and video. And matches. Players wouldn't even do that either. And Lucho would tell them to shut up if they did, most likely.

You're right, but dare I say that Bravo at the age of 33 has started to show signs of weakness whereas van der Sar just got better and better. It's still not comparable to Buffon as I said. You said so yourself. Bravo is a late bloomer and that can go both ways.

Buffon is an ATG and has had years of World Class brilliance and consistency. This is pure conjecture, but I think GKs with a bigger reach has an advantage over the ones who rely more on their agility like Claudio to make up for it.

Lehmann, Buffon and van der Saar all over 1,90m.

Zoff wasn't a late bloomer. He was the Italian National GK at the age of 24/25 and played for a rising team in Serie A at Napoli until his move to Juventus
