It surely can. MAtS and Bravo are on the same level. The communication/calmness argument has been debunked this past season. Being younger is an advantage as they are on the same level, and one can give more years than the other. Bravo has experience on his side, which is also important. Keeping both would be the best for the club, at least for one more season.

Better looking is subjective, I don't think MAtS is that good looking. Actually, I think Bravo is more charming than he is, MAtS is a bit bland.

Even if Bravo is better then it's marginal now after Ter Stegen has showed he can communicate and command the defence, IMO of course.

And ter Stegen is 9 years younger.

That's the reason the age argument is used. Not because people think ter Stegen is pretty(or some might but yeah, that said I wouldn't mind meeting his girlfriend ). If the difference in the goalkeepers is marginal and people believe that a goalkeeper can play till his late 30s, which is not really true in all cases, then why not go for the one who will be 39 in one and a half decade than the other one who will be 39 in a few years?

That's if one absolutely needs to go...

That's the reason the club is signing younger players now too. We could have easily continued signing old players, but what do you with them in five years? Replace all at once? Need to be proactive and think about the future too while you focus on the goals and titles you want to win now.

If Bravo was several steps ahead of him and the difference in quality was so big with he starting to get impatient, then I would send the German packing, but that simply isn't how it is.

Iniesta is also leaps and bounds better than Denis, and doesn't demand that he be the only midfielder who gets to play, ever.

You literally missed the most important point of my post. I explained why the age argument in that case is used, yet you missed it. It's all there.

Kindly read the post again, take a deep breath, and come back in 5 minutes. If you don't agree, then argue for your case, but the very least you can do is understand my argument before disagreeing with it, or questioning the logic behind it.

Yeah, thats why the Zamora trophy goes to the keeper with the highest save success rate. The pichichi should go to the player with most shots on goal, goals scored can also be highly misleading

Comparing the goals conceded between Mats and Bravo would be like comparing Messi's CL stats to Ronaldo's La Liga stats and laughing at how Ronaldo scores more per game.

Problem with Stegen is that he's a bit timid. You can see it in corners and failing to control even his 5 yard box.
You can see it in failing to rush out as well.

He doesn't instill confidence in defense with his shenanigans either. Which are, imo, pure overcompensation for his timidness.
