Claudio Bravo

Tantrum, hissy fit.. whats the problem with debating different point of views?

Well, Bravo has earned getting more playing time. Lets remember the disaster that occurred when MATS replaced him several matches in la Liga when he was injured

I also remember that when Bravo returned we still conceded goals at the same rate. I also remember Mats stepping in for Bravo in his second injury and doing just as good a job.

To be honest, you want them to "Compete" for their minutes but if there was true competition Mats would have gotten a fair chance to be the La Liga keeper after Bravo failed to make a single save in El Clasico.

It's not Lucho's decision, it's the clubs. Lucho will obviously want to retain both keepers, he's the coach. The club would tell him who is the starting keeper in each competition. Unless you beleive the club doesnt meddle on whose starting..

Of course they don't meddle about who plays. You think bartomeu calls Lucho to say who should play? Arda is still here because Lucho believes in him, and Lucho and Unzue signed Bravo. Enrique is not a puppet either. If the club started meddling on that, he'd be long gone. You keep making up things to fit your narrative. The club would get more money from selling mats as well. The reports from the catalan press is that both heard they'd have to bring the buyout if they wanted to leave. But that Bravo insisted in being let go. He just got tired of sharing minuts. And he's not getting younger, and decided it's not worthy to spend another season like this.

No one told Bravo he'd be playing only cdr. If you read the catalan press, you'd know Lucho's stance didn't change. He wanted to keep them competing. Likely Bravo would remain playing la liga, and Mats the cups.

You are making up this nonsesical story based who knows on what. Mats has absolutely no upper hand to demand anything from FC Barcelona. If he did do what you're making up that he did, what would likely happen is Lucho would get pissed off, mats would be benched, Bravo would play all competitions, and mats would only be allowed to leave if some club paid his 80m buyout.

This. :goodpost: Watching this user's unsubstantiated (and biased as hell) allegations gradually descend into a full-blown conspiracy theory is a wild ride to watch. The thing is - HAD his imaginary scenarios really occur in real life there is no fucking way ter Stegen would see the green grass of Camp Nou till the day both Claudio and Masip got injured at the same time and no outfield player could take their place between the posts. Lucho had absolutely no problem doghousing RB Aleix for an entire season in a position FCB doesn't have a single fully qualified player for. To think Lucho would suffer any nonsense from a goalkeeper, when he has two world-class ones at his disposal, is frankly insane.

I genuinely had no idea that Ter Stegen had such power he could blackmail Barto and the board to sell Bravo who in turn tell Lucho who to play.

Basically Ter Stegen runs this club.

We must recruit ter Stegen to blackmail the FCB board and buy Pogba, maybe bring Maldini out of retirement and terminate Douglas' contract. :mats: Who's with me? Does anyone on here have his agent's number, perchance ...

Only after Ter Stegen gave him the green light to start proceedings.

Of course Ter Stegen ordered Lucho to only play him in the cups these past two seasons as a way to build his cover. Nobody would suspect him, he's only the cup keeper. What power could he possibly have?

Then what did the club talk to MATS and Bravo about? If Lucho decides who is playing and the club has nothing to do with it, I don't understand what MATS wanted to talk about

MAtS talked to the club a week after Bravo did according to Fernando Polo of MD.
