Im no longer bothered by his celebrations, I expect it every time he scores so it has become his natural response.
What does bother me is how a lot of people are now labelling Messi a has-been, I really hope he scores a hattrick or more tonight just to shut those idiots up.

This. He is lucky that the whole team is constantly trying to feed him with easy tap-ins and that his shooting is as deadly as it is.

Thats not to say im calling him a bad player. his runs are brilliant, finishing is great, great heading, strong, pacey. But the quality of ronaldos overall game (snd yes ill keep saying it) is one of the most overrated things in football.

Anyway, I really enjoyed his run last night, where he took the ball to the byline. unlucky nothing came of it.

No, not at all compared to Ronaldo. I never see Messi getting easy tap-ins anymore. Now he has to do everything by himself. The worst thing is all the times he has been open for a tap-in, or a 1v1 with the oppositions keeper, but is let down by Alexis' shitty passing, and more recently, his ego. The everyone passes to Messi conspiracy is just an overused joke that people should get an infraction for.

One of the mods should really shorten Jiopi's ban, because he is needed with all these Messi haters and doubters around recently.

Some weird points IMO. Real Madrid plays for Cristiano, but so do/did Barca for Messi. Atleast they in the past seasons had other goalscorers and people to turn to and not had to feed the ball to Messi all the time and wait and see if he can do something magical which he usually did, but not always like our players did.

I don't think his point was that Ronaldo only thrives because the RM play evolves around him, but that his overall game hasn't been as good as his scoring record might suggest. In several games, he had a mediocre to decent performance but still snatched a hat trick of sometimes similarly mediocre goals (penaldos, tap-ins). Not all of them, but some.

As a forward Ronaldo will probably survive at the top to a later age. His shooting, heading ability etc will keep him there. Messi however will be able to move into a deeper position where he can still but at the top of his game but of course as a midfielder his goal rate will drop. Right now Ronaldo slightly leads Messi but Messi is 2 years younger and for that reason I believe he will end up with the higher goal tally.

Speed and physical attributes decline when you get older. Cr7 should decline more when het gets 30+, still has great positioning so he could become a very good striker. Messi should keep his level up longer cause technique stays for a very long time.
