Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

To be serious, Ronaldo was not quite himself for the last few months of last season and wc. Ancelotti kept playing him every game only for Ronaldo to halt of the pitch and back next game. It carried through the summer. He was quite different when he returned in pre-season after a few weeks rest. Not like Ronaldo had the optimal 2014 either. This season he hasnt really had problems though. But i will still use that as an excuse everytime he plays bad :pep:

Because beeing ignorant suits you as a Madrid fan or what is your point in repeating this.

Come on, he wasn't himself? He returned to La Liga play at the beginning of this season with his gun blasting and goals glore, remember? So much so people even thought he would surpass Messi's goal tally scored in a single season, remember? And despite what you believe, once again I have to point out that Ronaldo himself said 2014 was the peak of his career, he was doing better than ever.

The fact of the matter is, Ronaldo's alleged knee problem has never been confirmed since the beginning of the 14/15 season, it has always been the pro-Madrid media that brought it up as a speculation/excuse when he hits a scoring slump.

Here we go again, Ronaldo's mysterious knee problem that no orthopedic doctor can cure, something that occurs every time he doesn't score, a condition that miraculously goes away every time he scores.

mysterious curse. he probably disturbed the football and penalty Gods with the "siiiiiii" i feel sorry for the lad since that was his bread and butter.

Nah, you've got it wrong. Ronaldo sold his knee to the Devil to win his third Balon d'Or.

Rest assured, when he scores a hattrick or a brace against Schalke tomorrow, his "knee problem" will go away, completely healed.

Apparently it is only an intermittent problem induced by the failure to score. ;)

You can't really compare Leos and Cristianos injuries, Leo was out for 2 months... While Ronaldo was out only for a few days, clearly Leos was worse. So cut that crap out. If Ronaldo was truly injured he wouldn't be playing full matches.

CR has been bad since 2015. Really, really bad. Actually, when he was out with injury and RM won with Benzema as their main man, I thought they looked more dangerous without CR (they also had James that game IIRC).

If Carlo refuses to drop either CR and/or Bale, that actually works to our advantage. I truly believe RM is more dangerous with James + Benzema as the main attacking outlet, with Bale playing a more supportive role. Obviously, if CR somehow regains form he'll always be a dangerous goal threat, but his inability to do anything with the ball and make a play (he has lost a lot of speed, while Bale is still a fucking missile) makes him very... sterile.

Mate cmon, if he was injured then why play every minute? Why play against Germany when they had lost. You can't use an injury excuse if you are going to insist on not resting to recover from it! Ok fair enough he may have been a bit injured last season but it's nothing serious if he still players every minute.

Let me say this if Ronaldo plays tomorrow then he is 100% fit, if he wasn't then he would rest as the tie is over. So now lets see if he is really injured.

He's joking. You've been played by a Madridista.

Partly. He doesnt have injury problems this season, so using that excuse now is a joke. But there is no doubt he had trouble at the end of last season, far more than "a few days" which some here seem to suggest. Why would he play if he had trouble? Because he always wants to compete, he wasnt going to skip the important part of the season unless Ancelotti benched him.

I'm speaking of last season.

I agree that he had some injury trouble but it was overplayed, the guy played all sorts of minutes that had nothing to do with competing, playing in ties that were all ready over.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he comes out and says his knee is at him again just because he's not scoring goals.

Competing, chasing records, statpadding, whatever you like to call it. Ronaldo lives for that.Unless Ancelotti has the balls to bench him, it aint gonna happen as long as Ronaldo thinks he can play. Btw, Ronaldo downplayed his troubles last year, not the other way around. I dont think he has any problems this season.
