Mascherano has been phased out of CDM by sergi roberto and CB by grandpa
Now it is time to try him at RB and see what he can do
Mascherano is such a strange case. Absolute class player, but is shifted around and around and then on the bench and back again. Why he is content with it we will probably never know.

I think in the Final 10 Mins vs PSG in Paris back in September he Played RB after Alves was subbed off.Didn't he actually played in that position many times with Liverpool?

Mascherano hasn't been on the bench for any prolonged time in the last seasons. As for playing CB, I guess he's happy playing there in return for other advantages of playing for Barcelona.
Despite all, I think Mascherano has been an important part of the team over the past seasons and, from appearances, it seems he fits in well in dressing room too.
Would you stay at your current job if they told you they want to lower your wagesWhy is Alves being so greedy, think of the club man
Alves could demand whatever he wanted if he was anything close to the player he used to be. He's terrible though and 5 out of 10 most weeks. Occasionally more and sometimes less. Adriano or Montoya can do a similar job for a few months.
If he's performing terribly now when he's playing for a contract, how bad will he be next season when he's a year older and got the contract he wanted?

They have you as their last resort, they think you are not very good but other options are even wweaker
