Daniel Alves

The Liverpool style of play does not suit Thiago but even then he has failed in his own role too often for them.

He was clearly brought in to offer something different at times and does get on ball a lot for them. Just does fuck all with it a lot of the time and too slow/immobile.

Liverpool are not the type of team that will sacrifice other midfielders to cover for Thiago if he cant cope.

Gathering old illiquid. Collect all who can not compete in their teams. Well now it is easier to accept defeat. This set of players is not my dream. Busquets, Thiago, Frenkie de Jong. They all want to be on the field.
Busi on Alves:
"The signing of Dani Alves by Bar?a is a joy...he will give us a lot. He will also be great in the dressing room thanks to his character and winning mentality."It turns out they lacked the mentality and joy in the locker room.

Fans are bitter and jaded by the last few years of constant humiliations and failures. The likes of Pique, Alba and Busquets have declined heavily over that time and are easy scapegoats. Alves, on the other hand, left in 2016 when times were still relatively good so we have a much more favourable opinion of his leadership qualities and personality traits. If Dani stuck around the past half decade he would be just as reviled as the other amigos.

Bringing back a crocked, 38 year old Dani Alves, even for pennies on the dollar is a pointless move at best and only those clouded by irrational nostalgia could argue otherwise.

and that we should bring in more 24-28 years old mature players that can make a difference (since the ones we have are bums like Coutinho, Lenglet, Umtiti etc.).

But the problem is you need serious cash for that
.There's no money in the immediate future for important signings in the 24-28 years old group.

24-28 aren't the most expensive players, especially if we are selective with our choices.
Adding the Luuk,Alves & Thiago of the world should be avoided, especially if you are under financial constrains, not the oppoisite

I really wonder what kind of good 24-28 year old players you could bring for almost free and with a low salary.

Wait

So this old fuck is coming back to play football?

Like actually gonna lace the boots up?

I thought he's just gonna be a consultant or assistant

Is Laporta for real?

I think you need a license to be registered as one. Might be a way to circumvent such a requirement

So La Liga does not permit free agents to register (and play) at anytime as some claimed a few months ago when there was doubt over Aguero?s registration. Can Alves play in the CL b4 Jan?
