Daniel Alves

He left the pitch pretty comfortably (I mean, he was not even limping), so I'm kinda sure that it's just something minor or maybe a scare. Maybe Dani just acted wisely, realizing that it could become more serious if he stays on the pitch.

I think so too, just a minor injury, probably. They didn't have to use the stretcher or so.

I'll certainly miss him. I think we have much much more power and speed when he plays on the field. Adriano does the job solidly but he just isn't Alves.

Hopefully it's not more than 15 days. Although he has a great impact on the field, his finishing has been shitty lately. (cup game)

His injury now should allow Pep to further test Adriano/Maxwell and see what possibilities he can generate.

Puyol and Adriano can handle that. for 2 weeks. If Milito stays Pep can move Puyol to RB and use Milito in the center.

Jonathan 28 is right. With the way Pep has been using the RB, Puyol will get tired quicker. I'd rather have him play CB and use Adriano on the right.

solid 2 weeks out, I figured as much.

could be worth leaving him out for 3, the way he plays you don't wanna rush recovery.

but I hope he gets fit with no complications. he's a crackin' lil' player.

Ive been watching the last few matches of his. I think his level of playing was above the average barca player... so i dont understand your opinion about his present play.

I think Milito is staying..that's what Zubi said most probably. But even if Milito stays, Adriano should be the first choice to play at RB in absence of Alves.

I have to agree with you on this one, we need him fully fit for the CL games against Arsenal.

Adriano should play as the RB while Alves is hurt. I hope he plays better than against Malaga though b/c he was awful. He played much better his first few appearances.

I feel it's pretty obvious about Alves. He's only 27. He can give us another good 2-3 years of service. Perhaps even up to 5. Why spend money in the transfer market while we already have one of the best RB's in the game today? Plus there's no youth player shining in that position. I say we save the transfer money, another few years trying to adapt another RB into our system, and just keep Alves. His teamwork with Messi, alone the rest of the team, is just perfect. We don't need to mess with that.

Also, if Alves stays another 3 years or more, it'll give us time to develop a RB from our youth system. Wouldn't that be nice?
