What a terrible transfer, the fact we can't even get 5mil CLEAN from a player we paid 40mil for 3 years ago is ridiculous. I thought we'd get at least 10-12mil, Villa must really have wanted to stay in Spain because that's the only way we'd take such a shitty deal. Even then, they just sold Falcao for 50mil...I don't care how much of that the club actually got because it sure as hell was more than enough to pay more than just 2mil clean for Villa.

It's just embarrassing.

I think Villa's contract would have ruined us as he would have gotten an incredible salary after this season. Great character from him, wanting to have more play time than a salary raise at Barca. Love el Guaje, sad that things turned out this way.

what? The reason we got such a low fee was precisely because of his insistance on his 11m wage and refusal to go abroad once Atletico knocked on the door. I think he could have treated the club who treated him very fairly during his injury a little better.
