How many Spaniards need to move to England before that's not an argument anymore? We already have Silva, Cazorla, Mata, Michu, Fabregas, Artreta, and yet people still think you need to "adapt" to the more "physical" game of the EPL.
I'm pretty sure few people are as physical as Ramos and Pepe anyway.

lol "can't adapt to the physicality of the premier league"....El Guaje would RAPE the epl defenders. His time at barcelona has changed him into a much more complete and cunning attacker. He went from playing like a 1 dimensional poacher to a well rounded 3 dimensional attacker. Instead of just blindly running at goal and shooting like the average bpl player, he can attack in a whole other way with back passes, combinations, cuts, turns, and not to mention his clinical finishing. Even with his lack of speed, i'd back him to win the golden boot at an english club (if he were to play centrally and be a starter)

This alleged loan deal kinda makes sense as Chelsea's long term target is Falcao but he won't leave until the summer. With sturridge gone, Chelsea do need some short term striking options. Presence of Rafa, Torres and Mata in Chelsea does make Villa a suitable target. Chelsea can easily afford his wages. Plus Villa would get regular playing time which he won't at Barca.

He definitely needs to get out of Barca as soon as the season ends, but he's not going to move under ideal circumstances in the winter. And he SHOULD play a role this year, since no other non-Messi player can score goals regularly.

If he moves in January and performs well he would have a better chance of attracting offers from decent clubs in the summer. Who would buy a player who sat for a whole year on the bench. He will turn into Kaka and get offers only from Turkey or MLS
