I think England has a good generation coming in: Zaha, Morrison, Barkley, Williams, Ward-Prowse, Stones, Byram, Lascelles, Ibe, Sterling, Ox, Hughes, Lallana, Campbell, Show, Chalobah, Redmond, Wickham, Ince, Keane, Butland, Keane, Kane. It will be interesting to watch them developing

Most of those names are barely Premier League standard. And to think Spain has Isco, Koke, Jese, Morata ETC ETC

I would take him Flanagan, a lot of people prefer Clyne though.

Flanagan has the advantage in that he can play in both full back positions which may give him an advantage. But I am also a huge fan of Clyne too.

i Think Englands next gen won't be at the very top but will be a good top 10 doubt half the players will develop to be that great

England's next gen seems like a lot of individuals with no team spirit. And as if we have a clue how to nurture and realise the formidable talents of the likes of the Ox and Barkley. I bet the latter wishes he had been born in Spain or Germany.

"Formidable talents of the Ox" I see beating one's chests about English players isnt restricted to the English media only.....

I say this with no irony, he has the potential to be a world beater. His physique coupled with his already sizable ability at the age of 20 is frightening. He's had no luck with injury/form at all.

And by the way, I'm not say he's going to be a Bale, Suarez, Ozil etc type player who's a tier below GOAT, he just in my eyes has a vast amount of potential.

quick question, do you guys think that a joint great britain national team would be significantly stronger than england, in the long run? I really don't know much about the british football situation, but just in principle i always thought it's quite a handicap for the home nations to play separately. Some thoughts from our british friends, maybe?

It would be significantly stronger, but I don't think it's something that anyone wants, so much so that the Scottish and Northern Irish FA's didn't even release their players to take part in the one-time Team GB team for fear that FIFA would try and force the home nations into one. The only Briton I've ever heard support it are a couple of Wales supporters, but you'd struggle to find anyone in England or Scotland especially that wouldn't be 100% against it.

Really the only british players who aren't english that would get into the england team is Bale and perhaps maybe Ben Davies and Marshall.

Totally forgot about Ramsey! Yes he'd definitely be in the team. Allen would definitely make the squad but perhaps not the team.
