Eric Abidal

President of FC Barcelona
Where do you get the idea they see Adriano as an ideal CB?

Thats not the case and if it was they would not be looking to sign one.

Playing Adriano over Bartra and even Masch in some matches last season.

What else should I think?

Abidal: I'm upset with Barça

Eric Abidal has not bitten his tongue in a statement on Radio Monte Carlo. On his departure from Barcelona, the Frenchman admitted that "I do not understand. I've fought for them. I'm in great shape. The doctors are surprised with my evolution". In this sense, Eric explained that "I feel better than two years ago" and has also revealed that FC Barcelona "gave me no reason" to justify his departure. "They said it was a professional decision," he said.

The defender is upset with Barcelona because "it calls into question my ability to continue playing football" and said that "I am the first to judge my form". Abidal also said that "I will not put my life at stake. That's why I'm a little upset with the club's decision."

I don't understand it either, Abi.

I, for one, was hoping, that is, I hope he'll go all out and publicly criticize the sh... out of the board when he leaves. Looks like my wish might be granted.

Just goes on to prove the pattern. Tito and co. don't talk to players. Before him it was Muniesa. His contract is expiring and noone even talked to him about his future. They don't know about the clauses, etc. It's showing a lack of commitment and, in this case, lack of respect towards players.

There's just so much that wouldn't have happened had Pep not left. Abidal, Villa, and Thiago have all been treated as if they're squad players from a 3rd division team.

It just shows that Tito is a puppet and pretty much does everything Rosell says.

A disgraceful decision from our club, the only real question remains why would Rosell want not to renew Abidal's contract? For me it is a Tito mistake that we lost this player, because of the small squad that he dreams of.

It could be this but it could be there is a disconnect with the higher ups who prefer to deal with matters very authoritatively, not filling in people like Tito because they have no plans for regarding them?
