Erling Haaland

This guy is tremendous. He is like a more direct version of Ibra. Great technique and tremendous physical gifts. Only player in the world I would break the bank for.
Forget Neymar and Mbappe this is the man for us.

OK yes, but he doesn't fit "our style" (whatever the fuck that is) like some people here are saying.

What style? This season we have gone from a 4231 direct football (which suits Haaand) to a 433 slow build up (which suits no one) to a 352 (which suits Haaland, imagine him in Dembele spot).

Saying no to Haaland right now is like saying no to Ronaldo in 96 (thank you Alan Shearer). Goals over everything in football, you can't win without them. And this guy is the most prolific scorer in modern football.

Messi would break all assist records with Haaland :p

this ppl are stupid as fuck, a man who would score 50+ goals in our team doesnt fit us, yeah lets buy more griezmanns, dembele and coutinhos :koeman:

Get off your high horse. Theres nuance. You will not get a free flowing, variable attack with Haaland. One thing is for sure, if we get Haaland we will play for him as a team. Thats why I would prefer the likes of Suarez, Etoo, Villa and so on. The catch is that there are simply no guys like them on the market (or even existing). Which is why Haaland is still the best option - unless our scouting does some magic.

And kindly f*** off with implying its Haaland or Griezmann, Dembele, Coutinho to sell your argument. Those have NOTHING to with Barca DNA either.

This is based on what, exactly? Dortmund's capable of playing free flowing football lol. Last year the attack went through Sancho, Hakimi, Hazard, Reus, and Brandt alongside Haaland for the clinical finishing.

Barca dna, barca dna, barca dna - everywhere i hear barca dna. We dont live in 2011 anymore, the style which barca is playing isnt tiki taka anymore. Whats the difference of Suarez and haaland? Prime Suarez and haaland are both top finisher players and both have also the eye for the better positioned player. Its hilarious how people dont want a player who score 50+ goals in a season, especially in times in which there arent better striker on the market.

Not really the players to get into goalscoring positions too much (just looking at their stats confirms that). Sancho for example is more of a playmaker.

Lets say for arguments sake Ansu becomes a 30 goals a season winger in the mold of Cristiano, which is a big if, then Haaland is not the #9 I would put next to him. And generally I want our wingers to be scorers (like the very best we had the last few decades). That means the CF should be able to go wide, which is just not Haalands game.

But then again, as I said, its a lot of ifs so Haaland right now is the best option on the market. I recognize that. I am pretty indifferent to him joining or not, I would just really, really like to have a #9 again first and foremost. But its a luxury not to have my heart set on him.
