Erling Haaland

Genius move by Raiola btw to involve the father.

When did agent commissions not being relative to the transfer fee become a thing btw? Used to be a flat % of the total fee.

Now we got Raiola charging his own transfer fee to clubs just coz he can.

FIFA come down hard on 3rd party ownership but this model is basically that without the liability. Crazy.

Well, Halaand can fire his agent anytime and save his next club from paying such money.
Such move exploits clubs, not players unlike 3rd party ownership.
And it isn't like Raiola isn't against FIFA itself

More likely in 2022 Haaland/agent/father ask for more money and the difference between what clubs would be willing to pay Dortmund if no clause.

It's a possibility. But I think next year's market gives more power to the buying club. Firstly they are paying a lower fee (which could be the consensus for Raiola asking a higher fee).

But the problem is that Haaland wants to leave now and not next year. This means that in 2022 there is the real possibility of yet another year in Germany if the agent commissions are not agreed. Which Haaland would desperately not want and reduces their bargaining power.

[RAC1 - @gerardromero] | Haaland's father and his agent, Mino Raiola, proposed these figures to Bar?a if they want to sign the striker:

 Raiola - ?20M
 Haaland's father - ?20M
 Haaland wages - ?30M net

+ the transfer fee [?150M]
+ the continuity of Messi

Hard pass.

Cya next season with the release clause and 0 commissions.

No wonder we switched transfer targets to Neymar dawgs

What is 30M net in Spain? And is the number I saw on Griezmann earning over 30m net or not?

He is clearly worth a better wage than Griezmann, but the wage structure is a bit odd at the moment and there are a lot of players who would rightly feel they'd deserve closer to what Haaland would get, although they'd be even more right to already think so regarding Griezmann...

He could, which is why it is a genius move to have incorporated Haalands dad into the roose.

Doubt anything is genius about it, his dad is probably a big part of decision making and Haland's business even before Raiola.
It is more of power play from players against agents, more and more players use their family as agents with some outside help or vice versa (Messi,Neymar,Mbappe, Illaix, De Ligt etc)

Griezmann is not on 30m net and even then it is idiotic to start saying Haaland 'is worth a better wage than Griezmann currently on'. It is absolutely irrelevant.

If Griezmann is on too much the club dont then use it is a yardstick for Haaland.

reading these demands I more and more feel like Dortmund really wont have to be worried about loosing Haaland this year. Raiola and his dad are erasing every rest of affordability here. Should the rumoured release clause also be over 100m then I'm not even sure a lot of clubs can afford it next year either.

The demands shouldnt surprise anyone, he is one of the biggest talents in the world and his agent is Raiola.

Maybe football has seen the red flags with this covid situation and teams stop wasting insane money to pay off players, players' parents, and agents. At some point, this has to come down to more realistic levels.

The guy is a talent who has largely achieved nothing.

Will be funny if no team bites at those absurd sums. Bayern won't, Barca won't, doubt Liverpool will, City apparently won't either.

Like Raiola gives a shit.
Nobody likes dealing with that guy for a reason, his demands will always be outrageous.

That said, if not even City are on board for this, eventually they will have to lower their demands, but its early days.

Yeah, people are losing their mind over his CL goal tally at his age, but take a look at his game and tell me he is anywhere near prodigies like R9 at the same age.

I like him. He's a class talent and he will probably have a career as a world class striker. But nothing is guaranteed and you can't go around asking for Messi/CR7 money (and they are overpaid too, at least right now) while not yet delivering what they delivered at their peak, let alone having half their CV.

Seriously though, what's the market for those claims? United, Chelsea, PSG, Madrid? The only really elite club in that group is Madrid.
