Say he chose City and reasons are his and Barca will focus on players that want to be there.

Wow that was a difficult one.

But you complained before today about club manipulating the fans about Haaland, didn't you?

OK, I get it. Your point all along is Haaland never wanted to come here and the club should have said exactly that to explain why we couldn't sign him. Right?

I did indeed but all clubs do that to some extent to be fair.

That has no relevance to point being made and no it doesnt mean club 'have to explain' why didnt sign him as just said.

You believe that is club havent signed him if you like.

I don't get it, you are the one who kept complaining and bringing up how the club lied about stuff like we can't sign Haaland because of our economic situation etc., to mask "the fact" that Haaland doesn't want to come, while the club stayed pretty much silent in the last couple of months (after Laporta openly said "not gonna happen"). It has been a long while since media reported that City and Madrid are the options. The club didn't say anything at all. Nobody else bought into anything that you accuse the club of doing on this, nobody was under any false hope that there is a good chance Haaland was coming.

So why the complaint again?

Xavi should've come out and said 'Haaland didn't want to come anywhere near Barca.' Wonder why he didn't.

Covering for Laporta probably.

City actually got him cheap. Seems the release clause is lower than 75M. Salary is equal to KDB, which is something we could have paid. Don't know about other fees involved, but I would imagine everyone was relaxed in the negotiations with the fat rat out of the picture forever.

Around 350 000 per week.
That is around 18mil per season

In spain it is 36mil before tax.

Laporta is giving 20mil per season for Dembele.

Griezmann was paid more, Suarez also, Messi 3x time this.

Busqets is now on around 20mil before tax.
Azpilicueta will be 13mil ler season.

We are paying retards to much.

No point putting in players we basically let go or moved out because they had too big wages. That's like showing Haaland is not feasible.

I think the issue was more his signing on bonus, agent fees & daddy fee, city probably paid up there, but those won't be given to the public.

Salary was high but no insane, but still high for is now.

EPL actually reports gross and not net salary.
And it is in pounds.
But there is usually bonuses, image rights & sign in fee.

Norwegian press been pretty insistent that most of these figures are greatly exaggerated. Looking forward to see what the details are when the deal is announced.

You expect them to release the whole thing including all bonuses and sign-on fees? I doubt it. That shit only comes from WikiLeaks and clubs go bananas when it goes out. Like with Messi's contract that got leaked.

Only the transfer fees are publicly reported and documented, not those bonuses and fees, right?

Even if let's say he wasn't as crazily expensive as some ar projecting, it's still way out of our range for the time being. Between City being financially elite, having probably best manager around, and the possibility of winning ballon d'Or if City wins CL since De Bruyne's star is fading...

Everything makes sense for Haaland, from the financial package, to being managed by a legend, to having solid chances at individual accolades since City isn't really a very star-oriented team.

He'd be the face of their attack. And if they get CL it will be promoted as Haaland giving them the edge that they've been lacking for so many years under Guardiola. The story is a good sell for a Ballon d'Or.
