But when time came to receive his ball control was atrocious.
Let alone the goal served on a plate by Mahrez, or it was Cancelo, in the 1st half which he failed to just shoot like an attacker (more like a defender tackling?)
And of course, no link-up if he plays

I don't think so, Haaland would score many goals. He just needs service and Mahrez or Grealish won't give him that. They definitely sold the wrong players
Haaland to city intriqued me from the beginning. He's not a possession based player, he'd be beast at liverpool or madrid. Ibra which he's often compared to, has far better technique and even he failed in peps system. Although that could partly be due to Ibras personality and so far Haaland doesnt seem to have a difficult personality.
There is nobody around who controls the play like he does ..still shows moments of brilliance as well . Just think you guys just show a modicum of respect for a living legend
Hopefully this season will show his true worth..
They are still working out how to play with him .. same with Liverpool and Nunez .. Klopp talked about the problems they are having trying to assimilate him into the team
I completely disagree both those players are great with the final ball whereas Sterling is associated with running into dead ends and fluffing the final ball

People need to calm down a bit. Haaland might be a crap/average Footballer but he's an amazing goalscorer. Let the kid settle in. He might have problems but people are being too harsh too soon.
The thing is City seem worse at retaining the ball in the final 3rd because there's no false 9 to drop in between the lines acting as the extra man to help retain possession. This forces the ball to move wide. Now from out wide, if you cross the ball you aren't playing to Haaland's strengths(unless you square it grounded for a tap in) because the guy is bad in the air.
Will be intriguing to see how Pep solves the puzzle.

Just trying to be fair on the lad.
I'd like to remind that, a bit like Birdy, I also thought/think Haaland and City are an odd match. But let him settle down a bit.
