Ernesto Valverde - V1

Some sad dweebs in reddit actually calling for Dembele not to be played because he's a defensive liability. Imagine that.

Just can't understand why he didn't even call up Denis and Vidal in meaningless match against Villarreal.

He is humble guy and press and locker room like him. Guess that makes the difference between him and Van Gaal (also won double AND developed youth in process) who still got under fire.

I'd rather see Alena, Denis play than chasing unbeaten "trophy".

Such a shame Valverde is so short-sighted.

We'd rather see youngsters playing, but, on the other hand, i think any manager in the world would pursue that unbeaten streak just for his personal glory, especially at this point of the season.

People can talk about personal glory all they want but IF we will go unbeaten people will talk about this season in 20, 30 or 50 years. I think players want this as much or more than Valverde.

Totally. Unbeaten in La Liga is just insane.

Still a bitter taste remains after we were eliminated in the CL against the weakest opponent possible, but i guess in the end this is the best we could have got this season, and to think with this squad we almost achieved it, it's just remarkable.

It could go both ways. The elimination by Roma is still downright humiliating and is more painful more than anything.

Unbeaten record doesnt say or reflect everything about the manager. His short sightedness will still kill any success in the long run.

Agree with Alena, but I think Denis will leave in summer anyway so won't matter, Vidal will either leave or stay while playing same role

It's something that no team has done before in La liga and in Europe only Arsenal and Juve has done it before . It's a phenomenal achievement . Only dumb heads will field a second string 11 against a inform villareal side

Agreed, but for me it's still tarnished by our CL humiliation.

Better than getting hammered in Anfield . Damn English media and Pl dickriders would have celebrated that for next 30 years

that just made me think; its strange how the british media big up the PL, PL teams and players yet they are the first to shit on our national team
