Regarding our style, if Pep's style was 100% Barca, and if Rijkaard's was 80% Barca, then I would turn to something like 80% or 70%.
To move on from Pep's Barca and turn to slight more direct football, if you want evolve.

1. playing Barca's football, but in a faster, evolved way (from your post). Something like City.
2. on the other hand, you have Real Madrid, Klopp and similar

How I see it, Barca's football in a faster way from your post is NOT the same as Zidane's mix of possession, direct football and crosses.
And Klopp's football is also quite different.

A lot of times when I proposed some crosses and a taller CF mixed with possession, people replied: why are you supporting Barca and go watch Stoke.

Or to make it simpler, which kind of football would you personally accept for Barca, except obviously City's football.
Would you accept Zidane's football from the next match or that would be too much of a change? (mix of possession, direct and crosses)
Would you accept Klopp's football, or that is too huge of a change? (running like crazy and less possession that Barca)
I won't even mention Simeone's AM, or French NT team, those styles are probably a big no for us, and I could agree.

Have you watched Man City? Like at all? They play a lot more like Zidane's Real Madrid. Mixing passing with crossing and even long balls. Especially when De Bruyne is fit and playing. Players with a lot pace, fast and scoring a lot of goals on counter-attacks.

To answer your question though I would accept 1 and 2.

You need a coach with clear ideas who implements his own style. Wether its possesion football or a more direct approach really doesnt matter (as long as its working). Im convinced our squad is capable of both. Im not convinced Valverde is the man for either.

We need to be honest with some of our players too. And I know this is hard because some of them are Barcelona Greats or Barcelona Legends, but if we want to reinvent our style of football we have to consider moving on from a few players. We might also have to consider cutting our losses and moving on from certain young talents if it meant we could get an attacking player in his prime.

But in general I would agree with you. This squad can and should play much better.

We need a manager with clear ideas and someone with a commanding presence. If a player is being lethargic or underperforming then he should be dropped.
