Euro 2020 (2021)

He didn't invent it, he simply had no choice with Torres being shit and Villa being injured.
He played with Cesc as false 9 out of necessity and it worked

He didn't have BOTH No9 or any normal wingers in whole La Liga, so he had to play Cesc as a no9 and Iniesta as a winger/attacker (or a robot in a possession merchant system)?

The amount of sheer hatred BBZ has towards Barca and Spain makes me wonder this lad isn't on German/Bayern forums already.

Or is it some sort of weird fascination with going against the grain, all the time, every time?

Said it before that Italy is a great fit for Spain, who should have won. And I don't think anyone can seriously complain after a performance/tournament like that. Just a tad unlucky.

2012 final, Spanish team, 6 midfielders+attackers:
Xabi Alonso
Xavi
Busquets
David Silva
Iniesta
Fabregas

That shit worked for some time, luckily it's not working since 2012.

I literally explained to you in my post why Del Bosque stopped playing with a real striker. Torres and Villa became shit. Euro-12 was the only tournament ever Spain played with a 4-6-0. Even in Brazil 2014 they already played with Diego Costa upfront.

Ok, that's fair. How would you setup with Llorente?

As 9 instead of Morata?

I'd just try him in a midfield three, with or instead of Pedri. Llorente is flexible enough to handle that. Didn't see the need to have Koke half the time, especially when struggling for a goal and his solution was.. Thiago? Just seems a highly forced selection where he'd be reluctant to shift from using 4 of Pedri, Busi, Koke, Thiago at any given time just to preserve rotation instead of giving forwards a different supporting player. Barely using Adama at deadlock scenarios is also a strange decision.

Boo hoo, Luis Enrique did great, this Spain team is mediocre, for them to reach the semifinals it's a big achievement. Spain's biggest problem is that they have shit forwards, Morata needs a diaper, and Morena is really not good enough for this level.

No he didn't.
A swathe of poor choices starting even before tournament.

BBZ has finally awaited the window of opportunity to continue this pathetic trolling after having to go into hiding after the previous 'predictions'.

Not hate towards Barca.
But hate towards Pep's Barca, what Pep has done out of football and what our fans have made out of Pep (cult following).

Cruijff's, Van Gaal's and Rijkaard's Barca didn't play this type of football which we see since 2008-2012 from Pep, Spain and post Pep Barca.

A simple test, does this look like this midget-midfield-possession-merchant football without risks, long shots, crosses, dribbles and similar?
Look at this: cross whenever possible. Shoot whenever possible. Dribble whenever you are at the edge of a box.
All of that was killed by Pep's robotic-logical football of passing till death, not risking and always looking for a teammate in a better position.
Again, is this the same football which we see today from Spain or Barca?
Van Gaal's Barca, Barca:Chelsea 2000:

I am not saying that it was better football, just different.
I don't like Pep's version of robotic-possession.

And he would continue hiding if not for the lottery that is a penalty shootout. Or if Spain had Ansu, really. Should rethink his agenda

Iniesta was immense as LW during that time, he would create havoc at the wing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2012_squads#Spain
He picked many attackers but they were flat out awful, Navas and Pedro as wingers and Negredo/Llorente as number 9
Whom would you have suggested as better player than any of those who played? Both Pedro and Torres came as subs
During the 6 games of the tournament, he started Torres twice and Negredo once, again non deserved a start over Cesc

Not sure there is anyone as confident in their ideas that are proven clueless time and again as BBZ.

This tournament showed it once again.

'Pep has been worked out.. his time at City is over'.

'Germany, France and Portugal have the teams best set up to win Euro 2020'.

Same shite proven wrong time and again.

I said during Euros that my favorites are Germany and France (maybe Portugal as the 3rd choice).

And that Spain and Belgium surely won't win due to playing too attacking and mentality + De Bruyne.

Isn't this a 50:50 guess?

I asked you a few days ago: what was your prediction.

Also, I like how you purposely left out a part in your quote where I mentioned that Spain and Belgium surely won't win it, or that Spain/Brazil surely won't win a WC in 2018.
Or how City surely won't win a CL.

But hey, keep on, Jamie.
I was wrong, Spain and Pep are dominating KO tournaments.

That is football from 10 years ago and today it is good only in league round-robin torunaments where you mostly play against weaker midtable teams and relying on possession is a good way since eventually you will score.
In KO tournaments, as seen by Barca, Spain and Pep after 2012, in 21 attempts on KO tournaments since then, they won 1 title, reached 1 final and had meh tournaments 19 times.

But yes, I AM WRONG about this topic.
