You as a Liverpool fan must remember the times Fernando Torres made vidic resort to cynical fouling, shirt pulling because he can't deal with striker with pace that takes on defenders. Torres made Vidic look average. I only say this because another pacy striker who can take people on was Obafemi Martins when he was at Newcastle. He absolutely made Vidic look non-league. Vidic did nothing but foul him cynically the whole game whenever he got skinned.

must say that if one is going to make an argument for Vidic being WC, then one can make an argument for Colo being WC, because Vidic has good as he is in one tactical set-up, is just complete shit in another and struggles defend a player with the most basic of skill,pace and has the willingness to take him on.

Defenders that can play in all tactical set-ups are WC, Nesta,Silva,Pique,Rio(a few seasons back),Lucio(see Rio),Carvalho even puyol

The likes of Samuel,Terry,Vidic, not so much WC has they are excellent pure defenders.

In reality we do!

All anyone is talking about is how good Newcastle have been defensively this season, even praising our wingers for coming back to defend like Gutierrez. we've conceded the least number of goals in the Premier Leauge which is 8 goals in 11 games.

Much better than QPR who managed to score 2 against City. I think we can do something against City, United and Chelsea in our next 3 games. I will be over the moon with 3 draws. But I really think we could surprise at least one of those 3 in our upcoming fixtures.

world class Vidic is indeed, but even the most ardent Man Utd fan must admit that against a forward with pace who is not affraid to run at him with the ball, Vidic is not in the world class bracket.

Obafemi Martins absolutely made him look non-league when you played Newcastle a few seasons back, and Obafemi Martins is no where near being world class. Then you have Fernando Torres who absolutely made Vidici look non-league as well, I believe he even got sent off in that game. He should have been sent off in the Newcastle game for what he did to Martins for continually getting the better of him.

there is nothing deluded about it. I've watched him for 90 minutes every week for the past 2 years. Have you?

He's been nothing short of fantastic and Newcastle fans would be the first to tell you that he is our best players and that we would fall apart without him and that he should be Number 1 center back for Argentina.

I'll tell you what's deluded, Newcastle being 3rd in the league, unbeaten, with the best defence in the premier league and 1 point behind Champions Manchester United after 11 games.
