Fair point. We currently have Messi, Pedro, Bojan, Ibra and Villa. Not a bad striking force to pick from. Surely signing a player like Cesc and maybe strengthening the defence should now be the priority

i've read that rosell is close to torres personally and he wants to bring the spanish national strike duo to barca..its like a gift to the fans from the new president..laporta got villa and he wants torres..plus he wants to offload ibra in the process..is all this really true?

Torres presence is drawing alot of defensive attention thus allowing our other attackers to work the spaces. But he does need to start finishing those chances. Its key... All of Ramos, Puyol, Torres, had chances to score and didn't do so. There's no excuses now... If Spain are to go far, efficiency in front of goal is a must.

Also if successful home-grown talents like bojan pedro are benched bcoz of an outside signing,then it will be a moral blow to the youth academy..there cud be a string of fabregas-es in the future..what say you,mate?

I agree 100% mate. Think i said it in another thread but id hate to see the likes of Pedro fall down the pecking order.

Yeah it's quite sad to see him playing like he is but the truth is he isn't fit which does nothing to prove the doubters. He went so long without playing that he wasn't ready. Although I do wonder if his being there helped Villa out at all today.
