In the exact same fashion, I can say Chelsea were superior to Barca when they needed to be.
Of course it is not true. What a fucked up situation would that be. Was there ever a manager "who offered to resign" ?

Fergie? Pep? Di Canio? Capello?
Still,it would be fine if he left...
Sadly, it's true. Minutes ago I saw a video on youtube with Pep yelling, mad as hell, at Alexis, after he got injured again in one match. I can't imagine Tito having even half of the authority Guardiola had at Barcelona. He's just way too soft, I have a feeling that the players don't fear him the way they feared Pep. There are moments in the life of a team when you really need to show leadership. I don't think Villanova is a leader. Pep was a leader both as a player and as a coach. Tito is a great assitant manager, the key word being "assistant".
This might be a bit random, but remember how we played in the second leg against Milan? Why Tito never used the same or similar tactics since then is beyond me.
In the second leg vs Milan it was the difficult task of coming back from a 0-2 deficite that motivated the players, not some sort of master gameplan from Tito & Roura. They lack the power to motivate the players in big games and that shows.
