thats 20 players with 1 cb coming, possible goalie, possible attacker, Sergi Roberto promoted, deulo on loan and Thiago/Villa leaving.
To achieve 21 players in the whole squad you would have to kick out guys like Bartra/Montoya,Tello.
Not a good idea.

The idea of having only a 21 - 23 player squad isn't new. It's actually one of Pep's principles so players don't become unhappy with their playing time. Small but versatile squad with players that can play multiple positions.

yh the small squad thing is not a issue pep did it,he only had a core group odd about 15 players that he would play, but pep would give young players a look it which tito doesn't seem too interested in that.
on another note its funny hearing people defending tito may saying he had to deal with the mess pep left a am.sure most weren't saying anything like that last season

During Pep's time, however, guys like Tello, Cuenca, Montoya, even Thiago until some late point, weren't registered to the first team. So he could have a smaller core of "older" players and still use a bunch of youngsters without having to have them in the squad all the time. Now most of them have been promoted because of their contracts, so if Tito wanted to have that small of a squad, he'd have to get rid of many players. Having a squad like that doesn't make much sense in Tito's case.

Some of you need to stop being so hellbent on kicking out Tito so quickly when there's a lack of decent options to replace him. Rosell would be more than happy to promote Roura or even Eusebio, so comparatively Tito is not that bad.

How I see it, Rosell is appealing to the part of the public that gets turned on by high-profile signings and doesn't care much if we're integrating our homegrown players or not.

Rosell kept Tito because he's a yes man. He kept him while knowing the risks that come with Tito's health. Tito should be sacked if we loose Thiago who in my opinion is the best talent that we produced after Messi joined 1st team. We are losing him for cheap is the details of his contract are true. While I admire Neymar's talent I still have my doubts about the Messi-Neymar combo for many reasons (we'll see). Signing Song was the joke of all times when we actually needed a CB instead and I think more ridiculous decisions will be made this summer in trying to put our team together. Rumors of Mata in and Thiago out? this is one crazy long summer

Rosell kept Tito because he's a yes man. He kept him while knowing the risks that come with Tito's health. Tito should be sacked if we loose Thiago who in my opinion is the best talent that we produced after Messi joined 1st team. We are losing him for cheap is the details of his contract are true. How do you know Tito is a yes man? Come on you guys give him no credit whatsoever. Sacking a title winning coach in his rookie season is a dumb move, he will get much better with more experience. Del Bosque, Mourinho and Ferguson etc were not world class managers in their first season it takes time and Tito has earned that.

I hope Thiago stays because I think he can be as good as anybody in midfield, but if he leaves it will be his choice and his mistake. He should be patient like Xavi and Iniesta were and it will pay off for him. Barca's midfiled is not just the best in the world but the best off all time you can't just walk into it you have to prove you are good enough to displace the others and Thiago has not done that yet. He has 2 choices, stay and fight for his place or run. He has a better chance of making the Spanish squad staying at Barca, it is a no brainer so I think he will stay but if he goes I will be disappointed in him not the management.

It's Tito's fault that Thiago might leave. His rotation was shit and Thiago was underplayed. Had Thiago deservedly got more playing time, we wouldn't have this situation.

Thiago will move on and so will Barca it happens in football and is very hard for anyone to keep four midfielders of that quality happy.
